I heard his new version of "I'm Going Home" off his new album "Alvin Lee in Tennesee"on the radio. It was a little laid back and shortened. I'm definitley going to check out the album.
He got the old Memphis cats like DJ Fontana and Scotty Moore to back him up on it. It has a killer vintage sound to it.

LOVE hearing his guitar solo from "I'd Love to Change the World" on the trailers for "Fahrenheit 9/11"!

Sounds very cool ! Alvin Lee is one of my all time favorites.
I think i gonna check that cd out as well.
IMHO definitly more interesting than the current line-up of TYA touring without Alvin !!!!!

Is the entire cd made up out of re-worked versions from Alvin's back catalogue or are thre
new songs or cool covers on it that are previously unreleased?

Thanks for the input.

There will be a review of this fine album in the next Hittin' The Note, courtesy of our own Willie Howard. I like the album a lot, I have described it as "Another Side of Alvin Lee." I'm used to hearing him do wailing psychedelic rock, so it was interesting to hear him in a more laid-back, old-school setting. Scotty Moore, DJ Fontana and crew are all great, so go get it! It's HTN approved!

It was public radio. And with sattellite radio getting more popular, this shouldn't be all that unfeasable.
