One pundit said he can always say 'I'm no worse than Biden'.

It will be another unusual election.

Another pundit has said, Biden isn't as universally disliked as the Clintons so that kind of campaigning may not be as effective this go round. Definitely will be unusual though, I just hope we don't descend into Civil War before next January thanks to Supreme Leader Trump's rallying cry.

Yeah if Trump gets re elected it will have been all Trump’s fault
Dems won’t take it sitting down, they’ll dredge up something to force a recount, or petition the Supreme Court to declare null & void the outcome - b/c he cheated doing this, did something else illegally, is a failing con man etc & so on....

It’s been their MO all along, & that kind of approach, along w/quotes like “Joe Biden is as good a man as God has created” turns citizens like me off pronto - I don’t believe a word of it, same w/polls, news broadcasts etc....

Still early, maybe Joe’s VP pick will cause Dems to actually back their ticket instead of continuously sling mud
W/disrespect toward none

Fair enough, but a lot of citizens are turned off by having a crooked real estate con man turned tv personality representing their country.
Funny to point out mudslinging though since the Chump has no political platform aside from, "I'll have the economy booming"(lie)," I hate immigrants" (true) and his biggest talking point which is apparently all that matters to his base, "I'm better than the evil crooked dem running against me"(lie).
I understand not trusting the media or govt, but how a silver spoon con man who made his name expoliting the working class became the poster child of standing up for the workin man is beyond comprehension.

Right on.

Trump runs chaos day to day as staff come and go almost daily. His speech in Tulsa was much more defensive and entertainment / schtick than it was based upon achievement and laying out a vision for the future. His speech or whatever one calls it was heavy on darkness and resentment clinging to white heritage of the country and days gone by. He ignored the socio economic concerns of exactly what has transpired w/in the last month as if it doesn't exist. This is not what a confident sitting President would normally do. But if it floats the boat of a cult, then more power to the 40 percent. He has zero chance of expanding his reach & seems more intent of only speaking to a subset of America; not to all of America. He won once that way, but the populace now sees what he is.

Fight fire with fire . The "high road" is for losers. 2016 proved that. Someone slings mud, then sling rocks. Turning the other cheek does not win elections.

Fro Steve Schmitt - Lifelong Republican, McCain's campaign director, head of cummunications for the House GOP campaing arm, workied with Lamar Alexander and Schwartzeneggar

"Donald Trump has been the worst president this country has ever had. And I don't say that hyperbolically. He is. But he is a consequential president. And he has brought this country in three short years to a place of weakness that is simply unimaginable if you were pondering where we are today from the day where Barack Obama left office. And there were a lot of us on that day who were deeply skeptical and very worried about what a Trump presidency would be. But this is a moment of unparalleled national humiliation, of weakness.
"When you listen to the President, these are the musings of an imbecile. An idiot. And I don't use those words to name call. I use them because they are the precise words of the English language to describe his behavior. His comportment. His actions. We've never seen a level of incompetence, a level of ineptitude so staggering on a daily basis by anybody in the history of the country whose ever been charged with substantial responsibilities.
"It's just astonishing that this man is president of the United States. The man, the con man, from New York City. Many bankruptcies, failed businesses, a reality show, that branded him as something that he never was. A successful businessman. Well, he's the President of the United States now, and the man who said he would make the country great again. And he's brought death, suffering, and economic collapse on truly an epic scale. And let's be clear. This isn't happening in every country around the world. This place. Our place. Our home. Our country. The United States. We are the epicenter. We are the place where you're the most likely to die from this disease. We're the ones with the most shattered economy. And we are because of the fool that sits in the Oval Office behind the Resolute Desk."

Trump is nothing. Just a person, almost. More a rabid dog. He is no more responsible for his actions than a dog off leash in a park who bites a kid. He is simply doing what a Trump does. It is the dog owner who is to blame - the voters who unleashed this thing on us - every single person who voted for Trump is to blame. In 2016 it could be called an innocent mistake, but if after all this they vote for him again - they are far worse than he is, because despite all his failings one thing Trump did not and can not do is put himself in power.

How about interfering with the voting process, which he is trying to do.

^ True: Yeah my little rant was wide open on the "responsible for actions" angle. Of course he can and will be held accountable for his crimes. My point was he is what he is - and it is the voter who is responsible for enabling his influence.

. . . Hold on, just got your point - maybe he can put himself in power, if so then we are just at the beginning of some very serious trouble.

Would this alleged "interference" be equal to or the same as the Democrats claiming that showing I.D. to vote is not fair?...I mean it's required for everything else from travel to opening a bank account....

Not sure I get the nexus here and the use of caps, perhaps you can elaborate?

What does it say? Looks like it was in response to my counter concerning ostensible voter interference. Still not sure I see the reason for caps or why that was posted in reply...

Please clarify

Does everything need to be relative? How about just holding Trump accountable for what he said rather than making an unrelated comparison? I guess since you deflected the topic to a completely different topic, we can assume you also believe mail ballots are rigged and printed by other countries.

Some people like using all caps, some people like putting quotes around every third word.

Obviously not, thus the reference to George Floyd; unrelated comparison comes to mind.

Here is the quote that led me down a path that another poster had opened the door to:

"How about interfering with the voting process, which he is trying to do".

My reply is in direct acknowledgment of that sentence. The reply that followed was completely non-sequitur. I merely asked for clarification....

Right, the interference was in reference to Trump's unsubstantiated claim that mail-in ballots were fraudulent. You called that "alleged" interference, so you must agree with Trump since mail-in ballots don't require an ID.
