Always great to hear from Chuck, but he must've missed the e-mail about the 'Stones tour being cancelled.

This is one of the reasons (see quote from Chuck) that I once said on here that I see Chuck as a "brother" more than a "stone".

“Desdemona” is a beautiful piece and does allow for a lot of freedom in the solo sections. You know how much I love playing with the Stones, but let’s face it, it’s not the kind of role that gives me the freedom to solo like I can do with The Brothers. It’s just a great opportunity to let loose."

Chuck really lives a dual life & is great at both. Loved his autobiography Between Rock & a Home Place about both bands plus tree farming & wonder where the documentary can be found.

Clearly, the interviewer isn't a musician or there'd have been better questions. Even so, he comes across as a true gentleman.

Interview from the day after The Brothers at MSG. And I thought those were great questions. Chuck was clearly still riding a big high from the event.

I agree. Melissa is an excellent reviewer and very up on the music scene. I would love it if she talked to Warren as well.

Thanks for posting. Chuck did a nice job on the vocals to Blue Sky. Glad to read that Chuck gave me some hope for a Beacon run in the future.

Stay safe everyone

Derek was the most reluctant to do this MSG show and afterward remained reluctant to do this again in the David Browne interview in RS. He said basically that what made it special was that it was a one time thing.

I don't see it happening, but then again I didn't think we'd ever see the show we did 2 weeks ago, so I could be wrong.

She may very well be an excellent reviewer, but a musician would never ask another musician - especially a pianist - how do you remember songs? It's like asking Horowitz how he remembered Chopin, Liszt, or Beethoven over his 66 year career despite playing other things in between.

I'm also kind of sick of the "when is it going to happen again" question that EVERYONE asks. Can't we just be glad there was ONE magical night? These guys aren't jukeboxes.

Yeah, I am kinda split in a way and see where Derek is coming from . I think it does keep it more special and sacred by being a one time thing. Plant treats Zep the same, but maybe for a few different reasons(he is more interested in creating new music, maybe Bonham too?)

But yet again it would be cool to see a show or two also.

As long as the family bands, Warren,Mule,TTB,DTB,Jaimoe,Otiel, Allman Betts Band, etc keep the flame burning, that will be good too.

Ok so Chuck says he would be interested in another "Brothers Run", Derek is out for all intensive purposes.
Nice thing about the Brothers is we have a lot of remaining Brothers.
