Flat out in your face racist agenda, Lindsay Graham quote from 2012, well it looks like they generated enough "angry white guys" to "stay in business" for a while. Not for the long term though, simple demographics.

Checking in & can't keep track of the point here. Is the issue that Trump is a racist? Is that a rhetorical question?

Of course, he is. As were Wilson, Eisenhower, Nixon, Johnson, and Reagan. The jury is out on Ford, but he was never elected. There are all those slave-owning presidents up through the Civil War & most of the white men who followed. Yalies GHW & GW Bush certainly didn't mix with any black guys in Skull & Bones & W's inaction re Katrina speaks for itself. Clinton sprang from racist soil in Arkansas. Obama is bi-racial & raised by a white mother & grandparents in Hawaii where racism by natives & Samoans against westerners is pretty strong.

Is there a point here? Whoever gets elected is going to be some kind of -ist to a certain population. We just have to choose which is the one we can stomach.

BTW, anyone interested in a fictional but pretty accurate portrayal of how Baltimore came to be a divided city should watch The Wire on Netflix mixing actors w/politicians & based on reporting at the time. I missed it when it was apparently a major network TV show.

Excellent observations. Most people are racist. That is no reason to accept it, all dialogue and light shed helps keep it in check.

A more constructive approach is to ask what kind of racist are you? Self awareness of our own racist programming mitigates our racist impact and helps us avoid engaging in, supporting, turning a blind eye, or pretending the scourge of racism isn't as bad or a whole lot worse than it seems.

The most dangerous racists are the ones who can't see it in themselves and believe they are not racist at all.

Perfect Example here of the lefts overplay of the racism accusation:

Ellen Pompeo an actress I have never heard of (from Greys Anatomy if that matters) tweets this regarding Kamala Harris attacking Joe Biden - "Because she’s overconfident and believes he is her only competition"

Responses of course accused the actress of Racism. Here are 3:

1. "Black women are allowed only a certain amount of confidence. must always yield something to whatever white man is around"

2. “It's disappointing that you single out the black woman as 'overconfident' when she is actually defending her record against the frontrunner whose campaign has been solely fighting her, calling her 'slippery and slick' and other slurs. On that stage Biden was her only competition,”

3. "Let me be very clear this was racist'

Apparently nobody told Ellen Pompeo that criticizing a person of color is Racist.

Case in point. The left is racist therefore the right's racism is justified, or better yet doesn't exist at all. This is how political polarization serves as a way for us to excuse and indulge our worst cultural habits.

Politics is a sin.

Why are you paying attention to what a few random people on Twitter said about some no-name celebrity?

It is quite the tightrope walk to be so very concerned about how the monstrous Ihan Omar has offended Jewish people while explaining why nobody ever should be offended by what Trump does and says, even when he took days to half-heartedly say that he didn't agree with people with torches chanting, "Jews will not replace us."

They can not both be correct.

Are you agreeing that the "Omar=Bad, Trump=Good" argument holds no water?
The point that has been made and a lot of you are dancing around is this: Trump makes critical comments about a congressman who happens to be black. Since everything he said was true the left HAD to call it racism. Omar is brought into this conversation, not because we hate her or we think she is really influential, but as a comparison. Her words really are racist. Yet the left ignores it because they agree with her. Trumps recent comments were labeled racist because they pissed a bunch of people off even though the statements were factual. The double standard is the point here, and its obvious. DO I NEED to explain it again?

Omar's "fear of white men" comments have crept over from your "really are racist" column to your "factual" column by at least three ticks just this week. Right?

That's the problem these days, nobody is open to other opinions.

Oh, I am "open" to other opinions. I will listen and read. The problem is that most here on this site are to the left of Atilla and can not comprehend people not seeing things their way when they have presented facts, that in their minds, should not be questioned. Present and post away!...But that in itself guarantees not everyone will agree, just because the poster believes it to be the Gospel .... I profess to know no more than anyone else here politically, but be assured of this.... I think the far left of the Democratic Party has waaaay too much influence on people who are afraid to stand up say "This is nuts"!...and when people do, oh man are they shouted down. It's just not worth arguing about over the net and a keyboard...Meet for a beer or 5 and I will with an absolutely open mind listen and discuss anything, until someone loses their cool and tempers flare. Until then, I will continue to post opinions that more than likely will be met with smirks and discontent.....

Huh. You're always right and everyone else is always wrong.

Well, I'll give you this, you're consistent.

At least he’s open about his mission. I wonder if he even realizes he wrote that. I wonder if he needs help.
