I remember seeing them in some bar on LI when I was in college. They were good

I was there with you.
"Get Vandalized".
I was around for a few "last calls" at Right Track and Music Box.
Great times. Get well soon JP

The music box sounds familiar
Where was (is) that?

Music Box was Bellmore I believe and the famous (infamous) Right Track Inn was in Freeport.
All memories now.

I'm pretty sure it was the music box - off either Sunrise Highway or Merrick Rd.

I was on LI for the 1st time in years this summer (I'm from Massapequa). Brought back many memories

Neil Sedaka always baffled me. Who actually liked his music? Were they amongst us?? That person on the bus, or at another table at the restaurant, or pulled up at the same intersection? Who were they?

I totally agree! And even worse, I had to grow up with my mother playing his horrendous music in the house. There is no redeeming value in his music, its all worthless crap.

Apparently my grandmother knew Neil Sedaka’s mother when they lived in Brooklyn, NY. But that was no excuse to purchase and listen to his records.

Many people probably forget that there was a really bad side to the music of the Seventies decade. Neil Sedaka was just one of many lame pop artists that flourished unnecessarily. There was also Barry Manilow, the Carpenters, John Denver, to name a few. Oh yes, the entire disco thing too!
