I hope for your sake that you dug that up on the web, that it wasn't in your actual memory.

The Kinks had a "Holiday" also.

Holiday is one of my favorite Billy Jones songs from the Outlaws.

While I'm giving some love to the Outlaws I'll throw out a tune and a story.

I saw a Black Crowes Instant Live CD that had Knoxville Girl on the set list and immediately ordered it and was heartbroken when I received it and it wasn't the Outlaws song but a Louvin Brothers cover, not a bad tune it just wasn't my beloved Guitar Army going full speed kick ass on it.

A "friendly" theme on these entries...

1.)Old Friends -Simon & Garfunkel/Roger Miller (covered by Willie)

2.) With the Outlaws in my head I remember a gem of an album/title track "Old Friend" by Chris Anderson, The song Old Friend is co-written by some dude Warren Haynes. Whole disc is worthy of a chasedown. Elton did a song called Old Friend on a duets CD (doesn't compare).

3.) My Old Friend - Carl Perkins (some nice Beatles related vid's out there)/Tim McGraw

Neil Sedaka always baffled me. Who actually liked his music? Were they amongst us?? That person on the bus, or at another table at the restaurant, or pulled up at the same intersection? Who were they?

That's funny. My mom liked Neil and we would listen to him on 8-tracks in her car. Same with Leo Sayer and Jim Croce. I didn't mind it, it was part of my youth.
