White guy, Mr.Preppy , cannot handle life.
Gets fired from Goldman Sachs. Is 25. Life has always been easy.
Cannot handle bad news or real life and something like Goldman Sachs firing him. Gets drunk.

Fine.

He stumbles onto table of Black guy and his Black girlfriend. Mr. Preppy calls them Ngrs.
One more time. The Mr. White Preppy drunk stumbles all on and into the table Black boyfreind and girlfriend.

In Mr. Black guy getting up to help Mr. White Preppy up, Mr. White Preppy calls them out of their name and rants about they are the reason he lost his Goldman Sachs job.

Mr. Black punches Mr. White preppy oiut. Out cold. Out and Mr. White perppy clunks his head on the pavement as he falls back.
He is now in critical condition. Mr. Black ran off, paniced, was arrested after he left girlfriend sitting.

I think Zimmerman was guilty and intitated the attack.

I think this guy , Mr. Black, had better hope and pray this Mr. White Preppy does not die.
Least this way, they both can file a lawsuit against each other and come out with a draw.

I think Micheal Dunn, FL case up in Sept., is guilty of First Degree murder.
He told the boys turn down their music. Black boys did not. Turned it up instead. White man thought the music was threatening and he shoots. Killed one of the boys and left.

I have been saying here. Everybody has rights.
Rights to be married to their choice. Right for an abortion. Right to eat meat and wear fur and Right to sell fur and sell meat. Rights to own a gun. Rights to go hunting.
Rights for other things.
These cases above all come down to one thing first of all.
Everyone has rights. You cannot take away others people's rights because you do not like it, them , or what they want or are doing. You do not like or agree with their rights.

Martin should have been just left alone to continue to have his right to walk on home minding his own business.
Zimmerman had no right to check him out. Follow him . Confront him. Demand answers from him.
Put Martin in a fight or flight situation.

Mr. Black guy had no right to hit Mr. White Preppy for calling him names.
Let the police handle Mr. White Preppy. Let those in authoirty, the wait staff of the restaurant, call the police and hold the guy there . File a lawsuit against him , police report against him to make him pay for the broken plates, restaurant, etc. Mr. Black could file a suit or whatever and make him pay for threatening him, putting him in fear, ...you know that legalease stuff .

Dunn had no right to say , tell, request and demand the boys do as he said. The boys had every right to play loud music. Vulgar music. Racist music . They could play Lady Antebellum or Lil Wayne in their car while at the gas station.
All Dunn had to do ,which he had a right to do, was to get his gas and go.

Actually Mr. White Preppy, though a total jerk, committed no crime. You see it is not a crime to call someone the N word. But the black gentleman who popped Mr. White Preppy? HE committed a crime, the crime of assault and battery. In some ways it is similar to the Zimmerman case except of course that Zimmerman did not, to our knowledge, call him a name or even speak to him at all.

Thank you lovelead for the nice compliement about me making sense in my thread here.

EVEN THOUGH, LOL, I admit, after reading a post from me with all my typos, people need an Excedrin. Extra Strentgh.

dougr, DougMac, and er, reread my post C-A-R-E-F-U-L-L-Y.
Word for word.
What the criticism and corrections and reposting when I said,

"I think this guy , Mr. Black, had better hope and pray this Mr. White Preppy does not die.
Least this way, they both can file a lawsuit against each other and come out with a draw."

I ALREADY said what you guys are getting after me about.
REREAD.
"I think this guy , Mr. Black, had better hope and pray this Mr. White Preppy does not die.
Least this way, they both can file a lawsuit against each other and come out with a draw."

Yes, here I go, sorry, FACTS ARE FACTS so far as reported.
Only thing I had wrong in post is that Mr. White Preppy is not 25.
He is early 30ish.
Mr. Black is 25.

If Mr. White Preppy dies, and Mr. Black better hope and pray Mr. White Preppy does not die because Mr. Black is going to move to a new apt. The new apt. building is Riker's Island!!!!!

This is a pretty open and shut case. From wat is known , reported so far... Daylight. Tons of witnesses.
BOOM!

Mr. Black needed to keep a cool head.
I think Zimmerman needed to not follow Martin and follow and hunt down and approach.
And YES, dougr, Zimmerman, per his own words, did talk , exchange words with Martin.

People need to not take the law into their own hands and they need to cool the hell down.
Think about consequences. Dunn-jail . Mr. Black-jail .

I said what Mr. Black should have done. Too bad, too sad now if Mr. Preppy dies.
I said what Micheal Dunn should have done. He had no right to telll, demand, asks, the boys to turn their music off or down. The boys had no right NO RIGHT to listen , answer, nor do as Dunn requested. The boys had every RIGHT to ignore and disobey Dunn and pump up the volume up some more. Dunn is a no body, nothing, no one of any authoirty.
If the music was vulgar, racist, nasty, threatening, whatever. So what.
Be it Lil Wayne they were playing or an opera, it was their right. So Dunn shot at them and got one . Open season there in FL.
This case, unlike Zimmerman, which has four live witness; Dunn's girlfriend, the three Black boys, anyone else at the gas station.
Daylight if I am not mistaken. The gas station most likely has video.
So far, these are the facts that have been reported.
See the trial in Sept. 2013.

My stand alone quote of John Adams was about facts in general and had nothing to do with anything you posted, as evidenced by the fact that I did not address you, quote you, or mention you or anything you have posted.

Actually, if Dunn was trying to listen to something on his radio, or phone, he had the same rights to hear what he wanted to as the guys playing the loud music. In point here is that while the guys had the right to play their music, they didn't have the right to play it so loud that others could not hear what they wanted to hear.
On another point, maybe Dunn had a medical condition that the loud music exacerbated. (I have Rheumatoid
Arthritis and sometimes the rhythmic booming can make my joints hurt, but there are also more than a dozen trophies won by the Boom-Boom-Blazer in Db drag races, so it's not a common occurrence.)
Of course his actions aren't condoned by me, but you also have to look at all sides.

Uhhhhh Ryde.
Wellllll, how come you dont' take me downtown anymore ....we used jaywalk every saturday night like it was your birthday....knew the band so we never paid a cover...

LOL. Wellll, I sure hope you are taking your wife/ lady downtown for a night out on the town.
You might be tired, but she's not.

That song is so catchy.
Everything by Lady Antebellum is catchy. They are good. Their story is very good about how they met and these three did pay their dues also as a group. Honned their skills . I resepct that. They give a good show though I have only seen them on tv. Look, Lady Antebellum rocks.
Your secret is safe with me.

Jerry, I see your point about people should be considerate of others.
You ahve conditions. I get that.
I cannot stand Lil Wayne.
I don't know what they were playing. Could have been an opera. Could have been Christian music.
Could have Rich Limabugh's radio show.
Thing is, if Dunn was on the phone or just came back from chemo or Mama's funeral or niece's funeral who died in Iran, whatever, all Dunn had to do was

DRIVE AWAY!
Go to the pumps on the other side.

It is free air. Free country.
Drive away. Pump your gas and go. Go to another station. Drive to the other side, other pumps.
Drive off and go back in when they left. Drive around to the end of the gas station and go back to the pumps when they left.

I HATE with a passion how some people dress be it White girls with boobs hanging out or Black young guys with the saggy pants and their drawers hanging out. So I turn my eyes away from them. I don't look at them. It is MY right to not look at them. It is their right to dress as they wish.
Now, yes, place of work, certain bsuiness, have rights to have a dress code. That is another situation. No shoes, no shirts, no service.
I cannot kill people because I do not like how they dress. That is their right.
I cannot kill people because I don't like their music. That is their right.
I cannot kill people because I think they are suspicous, up to no good..yeah, this guy is up to no good, ..or I don't know what their problem is, drugs or something. Opps.

From what you describe of the Dunn case, he is certainly guilty and will be convicted. Nevertheless he had the right to ask them to turn the music down. They had a right to refuse. He most certainly had no right whatsoever to shoot them. Completely unlike the Zimmerman case. So I don't know why you bring them up together. The man in New York City will likely be convicted of at the very least, involuntary manslaughter if his victim were to die and possibly voluntary manslaughter depending on how the prosecutors decided to go with it.

It is the sign of a civilized society when people are considerate of others. I'm sure the fools in the car were first class cretins. But no matter, shooting them is not an option and he will be convicted unless there is more. Not a chance this is self-defense. It is exactly what is not self0defense. Same with that lady who went out to her car and came back and fired a shot. Not self defense because not in reasonable fear of serious harm.

I cannot kill people because I do not like how they dress. That is their right.
I cannot kill people because I don't like their music. That is their right.
I cannot kill people because I think they are suspicous, up to no good..yeah, this guy is up to no good, ..or I don't know what their problem is, drugs or something. Opps.

I'm just wondering how you got all that from my post?

Wrong! Zimmerman asked him what he was doing in his neighborhood in a profiling and accusatory manner and didn't like Martin's response. After that NOBODY knows who threw the first punch. You and others assume Martin threw the first punch and connected which is nothing more than assumption. Zimmerman could have easily threw the first punch and missed which is the way many fights happen and we all know through the MMA trainer's testimony that Zimmerman for all of his training for a year + still couldn't throw a single effective punch. Unfortunately nobody will ever know who started the fight except Zimmerman. In the other case if it is fact that Mr. Preppy did nothing besides call him the N word then he had no right to punch him out although Mr. Preppy probably deserved to be punched in the face for saying it. I am glad I grew up when I did. When I was a kid and a teenager if someone called you something or started saying stuff about you or your family you squared off and took care of business right there and then with your fists and no other weapons. There are a couple of times in my life when I handed out very thorough beatings to people who decided to say nasty things about my mother. In today's world I probably would have ended up in jail or shot dead for defending myself and my mother. Another of my best friends who was Jewish and had to defend himself quite often against anti Semites who would call him names or make fun of his religion And I can tell you that 99% of the time the people who mouth off or call names are the ones who can least defend themselves once they have pushed the person they are verbally assaulting over the edge so like Zimmerman they end up looking like the victim even though they weren't because they weren't smart enough to keep their mouths shut. Might not be a crime to call someone the N word or insult them or someone's family member but I ain't gonna feel one iota bad for someone who takes a beating for doing so.

It sounds like a stranger coming up to him and asking what you are doing walking in my neighborhood which unless Martin was committing a crime was none of Zimmerman's business. The cops had been called and were on the way. It was THEIR job to ask Martin what he was doing walking innocently through the neighborhood, not the wanna be cop's job.

That's fine, as long as you accept the fact it may turn out worse than they can imagine up to costing them their lives. That's the part you seem unwilling to accept. You can't street fight every time somebody acts in a way you don't like. Treyvon would probably tell you today he should have just blown the guy off and gone home.

My comment is about this part only.
There is a provision in the Constitution referred to as "fighting words", and every state has laws on the books that place restrictions and fines for using "words of hateful and violence inciting nature". Every one I've seen has a misdemeanor penalty (less than $1,000 fine, less than 1 year confinement).
So yes, if the guy had called police and reported the incident the preppy guy would (allegedly) not only have lost his wife and job, but would be facing a fine and/or jail time. Quite possible that if this does go to court, he could file counter charges under the "fighting words" rules and also file a lawsuit equal to or more than preppy files against him.
The reason I added allegedly is that Goldman Sachs says they have no record of his employment, and so far there's been no mention of who his wife is, except by a person he spoke with just before the incident.
So basically both should even out in court.

Thanks Jerry.

Now, all depends though if Mr.Preppy dies or not.
Mr. Black will be charged, found G, easy, First Degree Murder.

Thanks for psoting what it says about fighting words.
I think people have to out power the Constituion as in let someone call you every name in book, curse you out from A-Z.
JUST WALK AWAY!
As long as they don't hit you , fine. Let them call you names until they choke or get hoarse.

Once the physical assualt begins, hello police and jail.

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me...the saying we grew up on and still tell kids. I think after the Martin case many parents, esp. Black ones, yes, will make sure them drill and skill this into their sons esp. Words fly. Walk away. Someone wanting to fight you, walk away. It beats a jail sentence or death.
jail sentence or death, both are equal. I can not say if there is a worst choice there . is there choice C? Yeah, Walk away. Run away.
