The NFL Draft is tonight and free agency has been in full swing. We get Mr. Manning coming to Indy to take on the youngster Luck in the house that Manning built. My son is already hitting me up for tickets?

Can't wait for the season to start and good luck to your NFL team tonight .

Interesting draft. The Cowboys took a player that will help them @ 31, but I suspect they could have gotten him later.

RIP Deacon Jones -- one of the first famous linemen in football
The Fearsome Foursome, who could forget them -- certainly not opposing teams -- it was Deacon, Merlin Olsen & I don't recall the other two -- but Deacon was the famous one & in those striped helmets & jerseys they wreaked havoc on opposing offenses

Lamar Lundy and Rosey Grier. Awesome defensive line! A few years back when flying back from attending a Raiders game I sat next to Deacon in the airport lounge. He was quite a character and was greatly enjoying all the attention he got. One of the all time greats! RIP

Not that he ws on the same level as those guys, but didn't Fred Dryer (TV's Hunter) play on the Rams DL in the seventies also?? or maybe it was for a different team.

That was him. Started out with the Ginats.

John Frederick "Fred" Dryer (born July 6, 1946 in Hawthorne, California) is an American actor and former football defensive end in the National Football League (NFL). Dryer played 13 years in the NFL, playing 176 games, starting 166, and recording 104 career sacks with the New York Giants and Los Angeles Rams. Dryer is the only NFL player to score two safeties in one game.

Anybody have an extra tickets to spare for this game ??? I could use 3. With the addition of DHB and possibly Ahmad Bradshaw, the Colts will have added some nice veteran leadership to this offense. Look for DHB to have a big year.

My son was playing Madden football yesterday, he was the Pats playing against the Cowboys. First play of the game, Romo threw an INT. Not a good sign.......

An unfortunate ripple effect of the Hernandez case (one of many I would guess)...
