1- Both guys are already spoken for.
One has a Mrs. and the other has a signif other.

2- I do not have a daughter. I don't have a son either.
I don't have kids.

3- These are old guys .

4-You know, I sometimes post in a thread that has nothing to do with anything that is going on and my post is something of another thing.

5- Betts and Allman had a falling out. Both guys moved on ages ago and are very happy .
Sometimes people just part ways , no big whoop.

But, DBetts likes his son's friend, Devon Allman. DB is very fond of the boy.

GAllman likes his sons' friend, Duane Betts. GA is very fond of the boy.

I think that is nice.

Maybe each mans' way of still kind of still connecting with the other.

^- Let me help you all out here.
To answer your question what would your do if your daughter , if these guys, Betts or Allman would want to date ,marry your daughter?
Devon is spoken for.
So cancel that question.

Duane Betts may or not be?
Does your daughter have a really good job?
Does DB have a really good job?

Hmmm. if Duane Betts or Devon Allman were to date your daughter ...

Anyone answer....

Forget about the topic; I suggest a grammar check before posting a sentence like that one (if you can call that a sentence).

Unless my daughter was at least in her 40s which would be impossible at my age I would think it was gross. Anything more than a 10 or 15 year age difference to me is just not right and would be tough to maintain although I am sure their are exceptions.

Esquire has a formula - half your age plus seven years. Younger than that they feel there is no common ground for meaningful interaction other than sex (which would be less meaningful for the youngin due to the age difference)

what happened to 'if there's grass on the field, play ball?'

just kidding. My personal life sucks, because it appears that I can find common interests and hold conversations with women 10 years my older, but they usually have kids 10 years my younger. It gets weird, and it pretty much rules out starting my own family with them. They've been there, done that, and don't want to go back again. God's cruel joke. We sexually mature at 18, mentally mature at 40 (in my case, anyways). Women? Vice versa. WTF?

It is life's cruel trick that men spend a good part of their sexual prime in the shower. And, you are right about the Benjamin Button like reversal that takes place. Around age 40 our sex drive drops just enough that rather than begging for forgiveness (when we did nothing wrong) men can actually roll over, say f-u, and go to bed. At that age women have become insecure enough in their aging that they now are the one asking for attention.

Why, I think that would be jim dandy. But, don't they play that rock and roll ? Well, I suppose that's what the kids are up to nowadays, doesn't mean I condone it, mind you, why, when I was your age we listened to real music, like Al Jolson.

If I was Greg and Dickey's age and I had a daughter in her 20's or 30's... The answer would be NO. Love their music but wouldn't them around a daughter of mine unless they were playing music.

Charlie has me laughing so hard.
Thanks because tomorrow, I have a doctor's appt.
After I pass tomorrow's part 1 test and part 2 test next week, I am going on a stravation diet . I used to do this when I was younger, way younger, and would keep it off . It never failed me. I'll be so happy with passing these 2 tests, daily small salad, here I come.

Charlie, don't give up.
You will find someone. Guys have it a bit easier for a bit longer than us girls.

emr and others who mentioned age...age matters. I agree. It depends on the age difference and the two people as far as the goals , family, and things due to their age, so yes, again, age matters.
Like with Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore, the media is coming all down on just him. Take it, he should have not had an afffair and had been grown up to just say he wanted out, but he was too young for her. She was too old for him. This cougar bs is bs. Her eldest daughter is about 7 years older than he is . They are peers or of the same the generation. Moore had her family and cannot at 49 and what, he should at 33 just forget about that important milestone and special thing in life.
I think 10 years max for age with man older than woman or woman older than man and still depends.
To each their own.
Ten years is still same generation pretty much.
