The Tedeschi Trucks Band is truly a force to be reckoned with. They pair virtuoso musicians with brilliant vocals to create some of the most passionate and soulful music being played today. It's almost as if they have harnessed the combined energy of Stax, Motown, and Muscle Shoals and are channeling it all through one eleven member band. Get on board, or get out of the way, 'cause this train is bound for glory!

For a man who claims to have done his homework before this show, it's pretty interesting he did not find the space to mention any contribution from Derek at the show.

yea - kinda strange. how can you review any show Derek plays and not mention his playing.

He had to make room to comment on their set and the light show and the stage presence! I'm glad the guy is a fan and enjoyed the show, but I think he tried a little too hard to be comprehensive in the review. There's plenty of stuff that could have been trimmed to make room for comments on the guitar playing.

He could have spared us the comparison to "super groups" like Cream, the Highwaymen and Them Crooked Vultures.

That was one bit that stood out. It's a little bit too much a review of the concertgoing experience and not enough about the music. I don't really need to know how much room there was in the crowd or how old the people in the audience were or what J.J. Grey wanted for dinner.

Any chance someone has uploaded this filmed show elsewhere? Although I highly doubt that Derek's playing wasn't worth mention in the interview, I have to see for myself

I haven't uploaded it because of the size, but I could be convinced to do a b&p if wanted
