Beats $75 to see them live.......and the bathroom is a few steps down the hall, no commute or parking $$$ spent either.

The email received from the band made it sound like the webcast was free. I am going to see the WHB that night, jeepers.

At least there will be one decent band there.

Alan, you of all people are missing Lee's point. Hence the "still seems overpriced" comment.

He is saying JJ Grey IS the "one good band" playing, just as you and others were saying Scrapomatic was the "one good band" playing with Tedeschi Trucks Band the other day.

You anti-TTB people need to get on the same page I can't go around having to translate your disdain for TTB to each other, it's exhausting....

I think Alan was being sarcastic-or maybe ironic.....

LOL! I'm in for the $10 presale price. Well worth it to me. I think you can watch it archived over and over for four or five days afterward.

Me sarcastic? Anyway, if I was a big fan of the band, I would probably pay the $9.99. I think the ARU/Athens show was a bit cheaper, but it was worth every penny. That show may have been a once in a lifetime show, but for the folks who like the TTB, it's a great opportunity.

$10?? This band is so hot right now I wouldn't miss for the world. To each his own...but, if you even know this website exists...and you're not fired up - well, that sorta baffles me.

don't judge the band by the album (which I love, for the record). very few were too interested in the ABB until LAFE.

All I'm saying is, live, they are flat FANTASTIC.

All that said, I love me some sarcasm. Rock On fellas....

Thanks for translating Rob. I LOVE JJ Grey. Rich and I saw them open for the ABB a few years ago in Carolina. JJ joined the ABB for a smoking version of Smokestack Lightening.

Regarding TTB I don't care for the CD as Layton mentioned but I haven't seen them live so who knows? $10 is worth a risk even if you might not care for them.

iclips broadcasts the whole Mtn jam every year for free.

i'm not paying $10 or $15 to watch TTB on my pc.

I've seen them 4x this year. On the pc it's not the same as being there live.

Same problem I have with Moogis. They charge $25 for individual shows and I can be there for $70.

I get what you're saying and prefer live over streaming. Still, unless you live in Denver, this is a choice between seeing it on the PC, or arranging your sock drawer that night.

I have a splitter from the PC headphone jack into my receiver, so the sound is darn good. Maybe better than live, knowing there will not be chatters sitting behind me.

At $10, that's like one big import beer at the show, or your parking fee, if you're lucky.
The only downside, that I had not thought of (thanks Bob!), is the time difference.

If you can hook up a VCR to a computer, you're a genius and an anachronism all rolled up into one!

do you think it will be cool or awkward when Derek and Todd Smallie (long time bassist in dtb) reconnect backstage? Todd plays bass in jj grey and mofro.

If it were any more expensive I would have passed. Seeing them live will always be better than a stream on the computer but i-clips does a good job and stream lots of cool festivals live each summer so I find the $10 presale price more than worth it. I have the HDMI hookup on my computer so I can watch through my big HDTV which makes the experience much cooler! Probably would have even paid $20 but no more than that. I wish Scrapomatic were opening though.
