Saw the new Tarrantino movie, Once Upon a Time, and what a snooze......The movie is clocking in at 3 hours, far too long to sit down in a movie theater. The man is mad genius, the unique camera shots, the love of the time period are really cool. The dialogue in parts is very good. Unfortunately, thats where the positive things end for me. The story was far too rambling, only about 3 minutes of action, and this one may be immature but there was hardly any nudity. We are talking here a Sharon Tate story and the summer of Love is going strong and hasnt all come crashing too a stop yet. Leo and Brad do a fine job but if the story is weak even they cant salvage it. Worth a watch - but on dvd or on-demand in the comfort of your house.

I saw it last week and agree, it could have easily been 2 hours or less. Lots of cool dialogue and a great premise, but way too long....

Yeah...I have heard it's not his best work. Is it his last? I heard he might do one more and it might be his final.

I think I enjoyed his last two the best.Hateful 8 and Django Unchained.

I saw it this weekend. I liked it, but it wasn't anything special. I was pretty drawn into the characters, which Tarantino always does well. Honestly, it really didn't feel that long to me. There were parts when I was like, this seems kind of like it could be left out, but it played a role in the story he was telling. Chances are I watch it again on TV at some point.

My wife did not like the ending. She didn't like how there were jokes and laughs with the way Tarantino ended it compared to what really happened. But I told her, it just goes to show, you have one small thing that is different in life, just one little thing changes and the impact can be substantial in different ways.

Oh, the one thing I thought was overdone, surprisingly, is there was too much music. Everyone likes the tracks he picks (or someone picks) for his movies. And in this movie most of the time these songs were played through a radio while someone was driving, but I thought there was too much music, too many songs crammed into the movie.

JMO but I find Tarantino's movies to hit or miss. Loved Pulp Fiction, Django, Inglorious Bastards and thought they were a great watch but thought the Kill Bill's and Hateful Eight to be snoozers.

Sometimes I think he overthinks things for the sake of art and misses the point but then again I know other fans who think I just don't geet his genius so YMMV.
