Duane could be quite succinct - when he wanted to be. Hey Jude comes to mind. Thankfully he also liked to stretch his legs and run for a while, too!

I love the way the solo ends.

Yes! Another one. I was just talking about this one with a friend the other day. Great track, great work by Skydog, but what's up with switching him from left to right and back in the mix? I think Duane might have convinced Rick Hall to have a smoke with him before the session.

"Got Duane Allman up here helping out this set" -- what a treasure preserved w/SugarMag, IHMToo & yes, these 47 yrs later, every bit as dynamic & explosive a solo -- wail on Skydog

This was not a session. This was a live performance.

Hey Paulw718 I believe the reference is to Clarence Carter's Road of Love tune which is definitely a studio track.

It's all good, it's all Duane!

I was referring to Road of Love, not BIODTL.

Oh... I thought you were referring to the BIODTL from Billastro's first post. My mistake.

I don't know if there's another musician ever that can lift the listener or the song the way that Duane does. There's a spirited excitement to his playing that is just unbelievable. So great.
