Thread: Repeat password requests

Jerry - 7/28/2020 at 01:49 AM

Just checked the e-mail I use to sign up various forums and web sites.
There have been 12 e-mails from Roland sending me a confirmation code to change my password.
All have been this week (since July 19).

I HAVE NOT REQUESTED A PASSWORD CHANGE.

Check the e-mail server you used to sign up on HTW. You might find the same thing.

Remember Cagey talking about his account being hacked?

It means that someone has tried to sign on to HTW using your user name but did not have the password and then clicked on the link to change the password. The new password link sends an email to the e-mail you signed up with.

Yeah, without knowing my e-mail, and the password for that, they can't change it. However, why would someone want to get into my account? Couldn't be anything good since they seem to be very persistent.

Looks like after 3 days the person quit trying to re-set my password.
Has anyone else had this happen lately?
