Thread: AXS Memorial Weekend Concerts

robslob - 5/21/2020 at 05:08 PM

Just thought I'd give a heads up because we are all pretty much still shelter in place. On Sunday May 24th AXS TV has a incredible lineup of shows so you may want to set your DVR. All times are East Coast, check local listings. Oh and by the way, I have seen all four of these shows. Every one features the artist at the peak of their powers. And if you're wondering, The Eagles show was recorded before Glenn Frey passed away. While I'm not a huge Eagles fan, this is an incredible show and to me it would not be The Eagles without him.

AXS TV SUNDAY MAY 24TH

10:00 AM: Van Morrison with Joey DeFrancesco, San Francisco Jazz Center
4:30 PM: Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers Live in Gatorville
6:45 PM: Havana Moon: The Rolling Stones Live in Cuba
9:00 PM: The Eagles Live in Melbourne, Australia

Unfortunately AXS has stopped putting a lot of new live content out over the last 3 or 4 years.

These are all concerts they have aired dozens of times.

I miss when them and Palladia/MTV Live would have new concerts on all of the time, including showing live festivals.

Unfortunately you will not see new music programming on AXS at all as they were purchased by a Canadian company about a year ago for the purpose of putting on more sports related programs.
