Thread: Sidney Smith book - '70-'74 Plus a Little Bit More!

Anyone heard of this book from ?

'70-'74 Plus a Little Bit More!... A Photographic Memoir on the Early Years of The Allman Brothers Band.

Amazon lists it as unavailable: https://www.amazon.com/Little-Photographic-Memoir-Allman-Broth ers/dp/0578505673/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=sidney+smith&qid=1565702551&s =books&sr=1-1. It's not on eBay, so it looks like a tough one to find.

Apparently Sidney published it himself, but I can't find the "publisher" via Google. Sigh.

I just got mine in the mail yesterday. It is a must have for any Allman collector. Google Sidney Smith Photography and you can order it from his website. That's what I did.

thanks for the advice!!

in my Google search I found and interview of him. Some interesting stories.

but this quote...

quote:
Who from the musicians was most gifted front the lens? What was the strangest request where someone asked?

Well, Duane Allman was, in my opinion the best guitarist I have ever photographed. So, as far as being “gifted”, I’d say Duane Allman.

Strange that the website still mentions this as a pre-order while forum member salcapitano already received it in the mail.
