They pulled the plug on Moogis rather abruptly. I thought it was good through February. What an incredible archive. It was an incredible concept and I don,t understand why it wasn,t embraced more by the bands listeners. Oh well.
I echo your sentiments Debbie, even if this is the last year the ABB tours, I'm sure Gregg will tour along with Govt Mule and Derek's TTB...and Jaimoe and Butch have projects on the go also.
I have great memories and music that still sounds fresh today from this band, and there is a future: i just picked up "Royal Southern Brotherhood"...wow, this band can play! Highly recommended:cool:
Also thanks linus for the info on the upcoming book on Duane, I'm looking forward to reading this.
Amen Debbie, well said! hear hear
Be safe and warm Peachies
The Brothers will go on...........I would like to thank Derek and Warren for their contribution to the band. I know they have to move on, but there is Devon & Michael & Duane Betts............who knows...will the 2nd generation of Allman's carry on the rich tradition. I sure do hope so!!!!!!
I know how much joy they have brought to my life since 1969.....THE ROAD GOES ON FOREVER!!!!!
Peace & Love
sundawnnorm,

RIP Pete Seeger you brought more to the table than most.
its been a great decade seeing all the shows i could possibly get too , id like to personally thank the recording gentlemen at the beacon for the wiked not bunk edited concert shows at the beacon theater , its nice to have the shows to take home and crnk up .
id like to say thanks to warren for signing my lady liberty eat a peach posters in the back of the beacon a couple years back . my 3 and 5 year old wyatt and sawyer have no idea whats hanging up in there bedroom walls next to the j.ives originals.you -all will be missed next christmas when we fans are getting set to make plans to see the brothers in nyc , but thst doesnt mean the brothers will stop in my mind ever play going forward . redirection of musicians and change happen, its going to be crutial that the up and comers know that the true fans will love anything resembling allman brothers, waren and tersck suzan and otiel intern will directly spike the attention on thier bands tts/gov mule witch just is the natural evolution of what is happening . so with that scope of my own opinion thank you all for your hours or dedication and determination to move forward with your goals . and to all the bloody windgers and poopy pants that arent ontop of the process to procure tickets for the ultimate final run at the beacon -your wasting myt time everone elses time . be prepared or pay the money , dont waste our time with dull posts that you didnt get tix . quitter. you have only to look in the mirror to blame yourself or pay up or shut up .dont buy that case of bud light every week of the year . money is not the point for being at the show ,get your s&@# together . i do apologize for the edge but your really starting to bum me out on the forum page with all the tix gripes . the road will go on forever ___ and im betting you (allmans)are coming back next year in a =blondies unite! see yah in 7weeks yall

The Beatles, finally, will receive the 56th Grammys Lifetime Achievement award on Jan. 26. Both Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr will not only be there to accept the award, but will perform, as well.
Other performers that were announced today are John Legend, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Kacey Musgraves, Taylor Swift, and Keith Urban. Sara Bareilles will duet with this year's MusiCares Person of the Year Carole King.
Artists and celebrities will gather at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The show will air on CBS, 8-11 p.m. ET/PT.
mrmilas - I don't believe there is an Allman Brothers press release that says that 3/25 is a special Anniversary show.
Jambands or jambase or one of those thought they had a scoop on a 3/25 final show that would serve as an Anniversary Show, but they turned out not to be accurate as 4 shows got added. I don't think the ABB has announced any special Anniversary Show on the 26th (their accepted/traditional anniversary of founding), but I'm sure it will be a unique show like they handled the 40th Anniversary 3/26 show.
I believe its 3/25 based on the press release.
Just finished the review copy of Galadrielle Allman's book. Bottom line-essential reading. She is a natural writer with an incredibly lyrical style. Not to mention incredible access to information.
I was skeptical when I first heard about the book, but DAMN this thing is fine
3/26, mrmilas.
In reading Gregory's book I am finding that he has had many women that have hurt him. I want to kick the crap out of the one wife who put him in jail for a few days while she went across town to have her affair with another man. I would never do that to him or any other man. OMG the 70's were so different! I am loving Gregory's book and will cherish the memories of his writngs.
Is the 45yth anniversary show 3/25?
Wow did those presage tickets go fast...fortunate to get 3/25 seats in Loge pretty psyched. Wanted 3/29 but will wait until sale to public.
Oh thank you - and thank you - I finally got my tix - March 25 - yeahhhhhhhhhhh
RIP Dr King............your Dream still lives on.....one day the world will live as one people!
