Chris, you dont have to be in the Charlotte area to listen to WRFX...they stream live...

Last night's show was THE show on the tour so far. Panic was amazing and Derek and Warren absolutely smoked it sitting in with Panic. I have been teasing Dave Schools about playing slide bass like I saw him do ten years ago with the Stained Souls at the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta. Last night he pulled it out at the end of the song Derek was on. Bruce Hampton would have been proud. The ABB absolutely tore it up last night! The Jones Beach performance was very strong but last night was the best! Sorry we didn't have the HTN tent up but the rain is not easy on paper products. We missed seeing all our friends!
Hartford here we come...

Hey y'all in the Charlotte area ... supposedly tonight at 10:00 pm on 99.7 WRFX after Smokin' Blues, there is suppose to be some kind of tribute to Duane. This is all secondhand and from a dubious source, but I guess I'll check it out.

Rain stopped a bit ago and Panic smoked with Derek and Warren sit-ins! Life is good except I'm sorry not to see Joe Bell!

Somehow our little world here seems "right" again :jump:
Shawn Murphy didn't exactly leave Little Feat, but was left go.
I guess everyone is down sizing in this economy.
Looking forward to the 2 ABB shows here in Chicago next week! As kind of a warm up, I saw Little Feat last night at a VERY small, intimate venue. This is the palce where Warren did his solo shows a few months ago.
All of the shows at this place are accoustic so I was very curious to see what the Feat would be like in that kind of environment. I found out very quickly. On the door going in to the venue was a sign:
"Warning: Tonight's Show Will Be Loud". So much for the accoustic thing.
It was a very good show. Easy Michael had told me that Shaun Murphy had left the band, which was disappointing. But all in all, a really good show.
The last bit before the encore was a 35-40 minute Dixie Chicken> Drums and Keyboard Solo > Dixie Chicken > The Weight > Dixie Chicken > Tennessee Jed > Dixie Chicken. It was awesome.
They weren't the same without the female vocals but still a great show.
