Linus, I'm not using either a Mac or AOL ... did you read and try the info you get when you click the Radio HTW link under the Menu on the left, then "How To Listen" link? This includes step-by-step instructions for various ways to listen to Radio HTW. Here's a tip -- if you have ANY program that you use to listen to streaming audio on the web, open it up, use its command to "open a URL" or "open a location" and enter "http://66.28.49.153:9580/listen.pls" for the URL. This works with RealPlayer, for instance. Good luck and let me know how it goes. Any AOL/Mac users feel free to jump in and try to help Linus out. Rowlnad

Rowland I'm having trouble hooking up to Radio HTW. Every time I start to sign up I get kicked out of AOL. Is this going to be one of those "I'm a mac user so I'm in a special circle of internet hell" or is there something I'm not doing. I hope you (or one of our brothers/sisters) can help.

Hey... how was the xmas jam? I just can't imagine how it could not be great. To see how many people are over on this new guest book... I am offering a b&p to the first five people who respond to my email for an excellent copy of the 3/20/00 beacon show. It is one of the last beacon shows with Dickey and he rocks. Also Dr. John and Susan T. play on two songs (a very good I Ain't Worried About That.) Even after the first 5 B&P trades are always welcome. Always looking for some allmans, mule, derek trucks band, phil and friends, dead, widespread, susan t., and Lucinda Williams. Anyway, peace and merry christams (I am sending out a christams prayer for a west coast visit this summer). Carey9@earthlink.net

Hey there sweet family, In response to your inquiries about payment of Yonrico Scott's medical bills, here is the official DTB statement: Thanks so much to all of the Derek Trucks Band family and friends who have contacted us to express love and support for Yonrico Scott following his recent heart surgery. As you can imagine, Rico has experienced substantial hospital, doctor and other medical bills. Fortunately, most of these expenses have been covered, but we are anticipating that approximately $25,000 will still be needed in order to cover all Rico's medical needs. On Rico's behalf, we are reaching out to the Derek Trucks Band family and friends in hopes of raising enough money to cover the anticipated shortfall. If you are inclined to help, please send a gift of any amount you can afford payable to: Yonrico Scott c/o The Yonrico Scott Medical Fund P.O. Box 2833 Burlington, NC 27216 Thank you for all of your love and support. Rico is well on his way to recovery and should be back on the road and in the studio with The Derek Trucks Band very soon. Take care and know that you are loved, and it's good to be back. Lana

Good mornin' sweet family, Yessss! Warren's Christmas Jam is a week from today. It's going to be wonderful. The guys in Left Foot Down are so jazzed about it they're all piling into their new bus "Miss Texas" and coming over from Knoxville. Warren is truly a musician's musician. If anyone has any doubts about buying those last minute restricted view tix, my strong sisterly advice is to lay those doubts down. These tix are going to get you in the door to the show that everyone always raves and raves about. I mean, have you *ever* heard about anyone who didn't have a great time, great show at Warren's Christmas Jam? It's history in the making, so you bes' be makin' tracks to Ashe'! Take care and know that you are loved *k* ... Lana

Hi again angels, A limited number of tickets to Warren's 13th Annual Christmas Jam will be released to the public on Saturday at noon via TM online, TM in-person sales, or the Asheville Civic Center box office. These are behind the stage and are limited or no view tickets. Basically they will get you in the venue to hear the best show of the year. And the money goes to a good cause. So if you didn't get tickets here's your chance. They will be $15.00 + TM changes. Take care and know that you could be Christmas Jammin' ... Lana

Hey there sweet family, The ABB just called from the studio (actually a hallway) during a break in recording. They've now completed 6 songs -- originals Rocking Horse, Who to Believe, High Cost, Desdemona, Maydel and a surprise outside tune. Some of them you're familiar with because the ABB played them live this summer, getting them ready to record. While recording, their thoughts have been with Tom Dowd, executive producer of this C.D., who is recovering from a recent bout of pneumonia. The pneumonia comes on top of Tom's ongoing lengthy recovery from an operation to remove a benign tumor from his lung last spring that prevents him from traveling by airplane. Although physically unable to join them in the studio, Tom has been actively involved in the selection of material and the approach. As Butch says, "We never want to make a record without Tom Dowd." Take care and know that you are loved ... and virtually in the studio *k* ... Lana

Corny & CanPeach, Yes indeed, I am trying to move all the "features" from the old ABB site over here -- that's the "gate" to shutting down the old site. I'm trying to keep the status somewhat up to date in the article "Web Site Status" which is linked from the HTW home page in the first Welcome to HTW block in the middle of the page... you can see the roadmap of things I want to do before officially "going live" with this new site. Regarding the Live Show DB -- you can find a lot of it already there in the Calendar. In fact, all the existing ABB shows and setlists are there already. Have a look! I'm working on the "search" feature, but there are some things already working: * From the Calendar main page, you can navigate to any year/month/day and see the shows for that date * Click any show and you'll get the venue, city, state, country, setlist, and in a few cases, links to photos (still a lot of data entry to do there). Example -- look at the ABB show for 8/22/2001 to see some links to the photo gallery * Click any venue/city/state/country from the listing for a show and you'll get a list of all shows from that venue/city/state/country * From the listing for any show, you can add comments just like in the Live Show DB Still to come: Tape trading (I guess we should call this "recordings" since "tapes" are on the way out!) Links to all relevant photos / tickets / posters ABBase style search so you can search the whole database quickly for a specific venue/date/city/song The good news is that with the new system, it will require a LOT less work to maintain and I'm willing to take on keeping a database of shows for other artists.
