Good Morning all 🙂
It's a rainy chilly day here in Ellwood City, Pa. I don't get a chance to get on the computer as much as I'd like to anymore. I am busy working at our bar ( Keystone bar) So when I do get on it's usually for a few minutes at a time, but this morning I decided to TAKE the time!!
I'm getting antsy about the Beacon tickets from the pre-sale. This will be our first Beacon trip and I am just excited about getting those tickets in hand!! I hope it is SOON 😮
We will be there for 18th & 19th, so whoever is there those days, lets hook up.
I HAVE BEACON FEVER!!!!Going to throw on a tape
from last years tour and HIT THE HYWAY WITH MY HARLEY!!
Phillybob,
You are absolutely correct. The workout of beer muscles in ones arms is most important. The beer curl exercise works best with a excellent live show.
In Chicago, during the St Patrick's Day Holiday, there is much talk of the beer glove. The St. Patrick's Day holiday is obviously very important in the city of Chicago and rightly so. We celebrate this festive event with two major parades. One for the south side of Chicago and one for down town. Both parades are awesome and the drinking festivities for the holiday start around 8:30am. We even dye our river green, which is already green to begin with, we just like to make it a darker green for the holiday.
This time of the year in Chicago can either be cold ass nasty or it could be nice, as spring is just around the corner. Most of the time it ends up being cold ass nasty and that is where the beer glove comes into play. Along with the beer glove and well exercised beer muscles in your arms, one usually has no problem making it to the closing of the 5:00am late night bars. What a great holiday.
If one is to participate with the outdoor parade activities, one must be in top beer shape and have the beer glove at his or her ready. Usually by St. Patrick's Day, Chicagoans have passed the days of wind chills well below zero and the weather normally doesn't require the use of two gloves. That is why the single beer glove is so important. Many folks will save the single glove left behind when one looses a glove for this very reason. And of course, there are your friends who will particiapte with this holiday without the beer glove and their experience is diminished and it certainly takes away from the buzz. When one's hand is shaking from the cold beer and the outside weather, this fatigues the beer muscles in your arm and reduces the amount of beer one can consume throughout the day and evening. Now of course, you can always go indoors to consume your beer beverages if your hands are cold but this will label you as a puss and Ditka doesn't like pusses.
So then, the beer muscle exercise is the most important workout of all and it is best exercised along with a good live recording.
Peace
Sweet
Sweet Bird, so sorry for your loss, you and yours are in my meditations.....The Salsa Lady
Phillybob, you got advice from the best here....Tom, good to see you posting, I was starting to wonder about you. Hope the recovery is coming along nicely. Say "hello" to GW for me.
Hey gang, just a few random thoughts...I'm listening to the ABB from Watkins Glen (one of my favourite eras in the history of the band); thanks bird, hope everything is going okay for you, our prayers and thoughts are with you. This is the first time I've heard this show, and I enjoyed listening to it, especially hearing a version of Blue Sky for the first time featuring Chuck Leavell, I always loved his playing on Jessica, its an integral part of the song, but Blue Sky was meant for him too. This got me thinking about plans I heard some time back, (we're talking years now) to release a live box set, a Duane box set and perhaps a live series similar to the Dead's "Dick's Picks" series. I used to read Kirk West's updates in "Hittin' The Note" but he doesn't seem to be a regular contributor there anymore.Anyone out there shed any light on these plans, are they shelved (can't be due to lack of interest) or are there legal problems- don't you hate those:mad: holding things up. Look how long it took for the Gregg anthology...and now its out of print:confused:I'm sure there's lots of quality recordings of the band just sitting somewhere begging to be edited, pressed and sold to us eager folk, till then...keep the faith, thanks Lana and Rowland for this great site. Peace all.

I am looking for some help I have a computer burner I know how to fix TAO Gaps I know how to remove skips from a track. What I would like to know is if there is anything out there too join two tracks together. Say I have a track 3 minutes in a 1 second skip. If I remove the skip it will break that track into 3 tracks the first 3 good minutes the 1 second skip then the rest of the track. I would like to join those two back together. Anyone know any tips or tricks on that.
Thanks Bob

Here is mine Friday night around 5pm I usually start out with A Frosted Mug of Yuengling by the start of the 2nd Set already slammed about 8 of them by the encore time to put in another show.
Now Playing Jack Person and The Nationals Demo Thanks Jules
ok, in the interest of simplifying the trading, I am starting the following.
I will offer ABB trades/bnp on the ABB forum under “Trades”.
oteil shows will offered on that site.
dickey shows will be on that site.
all others (Derek, phil, clapton, whatever) will be on the trading live shows at HTW.
I will use philzone style, where the show is offered, the people wanting the shows post on the board AND send an email. that way everyone knows when the trade/bnp is filled. this is a very easy system on all concerned. I have posted a demo on HTW, the Forum, Live Show Trading, under the thread “posting shows” if you want to see what it looks like.
if you like it join in. peace and spread da tunes.
Gary, it usually only takes one post to get you hooked. Welcome!
Always a pleasure larrider, and thanks, Josh!
Live your love,
Lana
Thanks Lana, i just picked up tics for Dickey,

Lana,Does that mean another Guest Book? You're gonna give us All the HEBBIE GBs here soon! Thanks for all the hard work and the Che site, I read a nice little speech on the Growth of Imperailism! You even get some education around here! Peace 😎
Hey there larrider,
The calendar on each band or record label specific HTW site only includes dates for that band or label. You'll find ABB tour dates on the ABB site; Flying Frog Records artist's dates on their site; Oteil's dates on his site, Dickey's dates on his site, etc. The calendar on the HTW Home site integrates dates from all the calendars ... and dates for groups in the ABB extended family with no site of their own, like Gregg Allman & Friends. Hopefully Gregg will have his own site soon.
Take care and know that you are loved,
Lana

Sweet Allman Family,
I just wanted to mention how awesome it is to workout to a live ABB show. I usually start off my workout on the weights with the first set and finish up on the cardio machines to the second set and encore. Often times, I'm rocking so hard by the time I get to the end of a show, that I'm groove dancing on what ever cardio machine I'm on.
I'm about the only long hair at my gym which is a very large family oriented type of facility including three pools, water slides and a daycare area. I'm sure many of the patrons are wondering what's on my CD player when they see me sneak in an air guitar move during the jam.
Today's workout show will be Chicago 8/7/02.
Sweet
Bird72,
