Welcome Janette- As a Californian, and a San Franciscan you need to follow the wisdom of folks like WoodyCa and Brent by posting a message every few days that says. "West Coast tour dates please"

Compliments to the Allmans for a killer show at Pine Knob Music Theatre, Detroit Mich. last summer, weaseled into second row and loved every minute...Charlie Daniels and 38. Special at the "Knob" were also top rate. Anyone know the name of a song done by Warren and Dickey Betts on steel guitars? I think it's live, and pretty long. Thanks

To all you folks still basking in the glow from the Mule show in Jersey the other night: They just put up real audio files of six songs from that night with Audley Freed and Robert Randolph sitting in over on "mulezone.com". You can listen with real player or download them if you're technically inclined. Psyched for my Mule show tomorrow night!

Been a while since I posted but hope everyone is doing well. Anyway in regards to the new ABB recordings, according to Warren Haynes in this month's Relix magazine (real good article about Warren), the band is suppose to go back into the studio in May after the Beacon shows to finish up. Anyway all y'all have a great Friday and weekend.

Hi Everyone! This is my first post to the GB although I have been lurking in the shadows for a long time. Reading all your postings has been truly enlightening. I have 2 questions that I was hoping someone could help me with in regards to the Beacon shows. First question; if I am scheduled to arrive at JFK at 6:05 p.m. on the 21st, what are the odds I can drop my stuff off at the hotel, and get to the Beacon in time for the show? Second question; I have 2 extra tickets for the 22nd that I'd like to part with. One ticket is Loge, Row J, Seat 1 and the other is Orchestra, Row E, Seat 27. Each ticket is $65.99 + 9.60 convenience charge (or $75.00 total) In an ideal world what I'd really like to do is somehow get one great place for the 21st in exchange. If anyone has a thought on this, please e-mail me soon. I'm hitting the road next Thurs. 3/7 for Canada, and Mexico and will have limited e-mail access until I make it to NY on the 21st. Like all of you, I am so psyched about the shows, and hope to meet many of you there.

Don't feel bad, Woody. There is at least one more poor schmuck on the planet who isn't going to the f#@king Beacon this year. 🙁 But hey, on the plus side... Can't think of anything at the moment, so I'll have to get back with you on that one. EAPFP.

Today my pen leaked all in my pocket, it was an omen. When stuff like that happens, my advice, believe it. Go Home, get under the bed. Come out when it's safe.

Anybody heard anything in regards to the status of the new recording? Sorry Jody, I'm gonna correct the set list a little, just because there's something in there I'm really excited about. Hope your day gets better. Set I: Grinnin' In Your Face>Thorazine Shuffle, Rockin' Horse>Fool's Moon, Beautifully Broken, Don't Step On The Grass Sam, Wandering Child, Banks Of The Deep End, Sco-Mule*, Life On The Outside*+, 30 Days In The Hole* Set II: Lay Your Burden Down, Blind Man In The Dark, Bad Little Doggie, How Many More Years>Drums>Drums/Keys>Les Brers In A Minor tease>Almost Cut My Hair**, Sad And Deep As You**, Turn On Your Lovelight**+ e: Mule>Who Do You Love?>Mule, Soulshine, Rockin' In The Free World*> Get Up Stand Up*+>All Along The Watchtower (V1)*>Rockin' In The Free World* *w/Audley Freed on guitar; **w/Audley on guitar & Robert Randolph on pedal steel; +1st time played I'd just been listening to some Bob Marley last night -- in fact, I've been on a binge since last night, all three CDs in my changer are his, and I listened to a few others, too -- so I was very pleasantly surprised to see the debut of Get Up, Stand Up. That was my first favorite tune of his -- it may have been my first "favorite song" period. We're going way back into ancient history with that, though- the early 90s. 😉 I an' I will see you through. --Marley
