Hey sweet famABBly, 'bout 24 hrs. from now and this gal'll be southbound and down!! Thanks for the well wishes for GABBA from those unable to make it. 🙁 I'll be wearing my 'shroom and thinkin' of y'all too. BUT to those who are, 🙂 , looks as if I'll be helping at the registration tables or cookin' so for those GBers that I haven't had the pleasure of meeting yet, PLEASE introduce yourself (by nicks too of course.) Really looking forward to extending my famABBly. I'll be easy to recognize. Short red hair, big (_!_) and a huge 😀 on my face. Soooooo very excited to see everyone again. Everybody have a safe journey and C'ya Friday!! Blue skies! Carole

Speaking of tour dates, have y'all checked out the Calendar on the HTW site? It's got tour dates for the ABB, Oteil, FFRtists, DB&GS, DTB, Mule and more integrated into one calendar for easy road trip planning. Hope you like it! Take care and know that you are loved, Lana

Hey Now, I'm hoping Warren can confirm a recent encounter. I was in the Los Angeles airport waiting on a flight to Boston about 2 months ago and I sat next to this guy I swear looked exactly like Warren Haynes. He was clearly trying to be off by himself so I didn't want to be obnoxious and ask him outright. I ended up sitting across from him in the waiting area and kept whistling "Back Where it All Begins" to see if I could get his attention. Sure enough, he kept looking over at me but didn't acknowledge himself. Warren, was that you?

Lana, I know that you posted the other day that summer tour plans were pretty close to being finalized. Do you think that an announcement will be made shortly regarding the June 22 and 23 dates? I would imagine that there is a pretty good chance that they will be playing at Bonnaroo, but I am holding off in buying a ticket to find out for sure. The problem with this plan of mine is that tickets are going fast and I am worried they will sell out and then announce that the Allmans will be there. As much as I enjoy the other bands that will be playing only one thing can make me endure the cluster ***** that happens when you throw hundreds of thousands of people together for three days on a farm. That of course is two ABB shows. The last time I tried to attend something like this was in college a few years back when Skoal put on the Rock the Smokies concert for free. The line up include Hank Jr., Charlie Daniels, and I believe Marshall Tucker. I would not know for sure because the traffic was so bad that we never made it within miles of the site. That was not too much fun! Hopefully capping ticket sales for Bonnaroo will take care of any problems but I still got to imagine that they are selling a ton of tickets. Anybody know how many? Thanks for any help. Take care, Ryan

Lana - Have a great time @ Little Feat tomorrow night. the show I saw a couple of weeks ago was fun, they aren't the Brothers but they are really good. Did mostly new stuff, really the only Lowell George vintage stuff was Fat Man in the Bathtub, Willin' and Don't Bogart. They did do a great cover of Rag Mama Rag and I Know You Rider. Thought the monitors were a little on the loud side for the size of the venue, but had a lot of fun. Been out of touch, only three more weeks and I'm done with MBA. God, I can't wait. Curious to here your opinion of the band.

Helloo All: Hey Johnny...just visited your webpage, very nice. My hubby designed, built our home in 98, top to bottom, me thinks you too might have alot more in common than the ABB (if that's not enough). Anyway, great site. BTW, how much of retainer did you have to pay ?? 😀 Later, Karen.

I just checked out Derek's tour dates and he has canceled the show in CO Springs tomorrow. Does this mean he'll be sitting in with Phil and Friends in Denver instead? This is gonna be a great weekend!!!

Lana, that is a tempting offer but we plan on being a little closer than Winston-Salem tomorrow night. In fact, I just left my lawyers office and his sister is a grad of Mercer in Macon. He asked me if I was nuts because I'm taking 85 instead of 95. So, it's now 95 south and we stop when we get tired. Boy it's nice having such precise travel plans:rolleyes:. 😎 😎 😀 Johnny 😀 😎 😎 😎

It would nice if the ABB sound crew could give some tips to the Mule crew for the upcoming Beacon show. I saw the Mule in February at the State Theatre in New Brunswick the performance was great as usual, but the sound was awful in the balcolny. I spoke to the sound guy for Mule(who was really nice) and he said that the venue would not allow him to point speakers upstairs. On the other hand, I thought the sound was great this year for the ABB at the Beacon, great mix and not too loud. I hope the Mule can achieve the same level of quality. It would really be great if Mule at the Beacon became an April tradition. Next live CD could be ...Kickin at the Beacon???
