great setlist..I wish I was seeing them in FLA π dunno why they r skipping Lee County this year π
oh well, GA isn't π See Ya next year Gregg π thanks!
hmm ..wonder if the Palm Beach venue is :dog: friendly?
So I saw this note & thought it was cool of GA..
the thing is, Ive always found Dickey to be more fan friendly and much warmer, u know, he don't expect u to run around volunteering, Dickey comes right out and loves on his fans, just for showing up :fanfare: DB has always been the Brother of the people imho & I love Dickey, but kudos to GA on this-
[Message to the fans from Gregg Allman.
Itβs taken a few days at home relaxing for the conclusion of the Allman Brothers Band to soak in. It still hasnβt totally hit me. Thanks to the fans that made our final Beacon shows so exciting. Thank you to all the great fans everywhere, brothers and sisters, for your loving support throughout the years. Iβm excited to get back on the road this holiday season with my solo band, Gregg Allman and Friends. See yβall there! - GA ]

..the world needs more lerts! π ...
π
yes Sir! isn't she wonderful? nice as she is talented 2..I love that
Etta Britt Carol?
π LM
dang it Patrick ! π we have friends coming in that Sunday..we could make Decatur too, leave straight from work Saturday afternoon, what's that they say? temptation's....
then there's good ol Petunia :dog: Pat, does the venue allow dogs? Kevin barely goes anywhere without his ***** my 2 mean peas in a pod , Pet can howl back up
speaking of, if Ya'll are lucky, Lee Roy had an off the charts back up singer with him..something Britt..am so bad with names.
This gal was one badass singer...I really enjoyed her harmonizing /perfect compliment to LR's honey voice.
ah, dreams ...
we would have 5 drivers :twirl:
Lee Roy Parnell is at Eddie's Attic in Decatur, GA (atlanta suburb) on Sunday, November 16th. Very intimate venue.
Hey Carol - I know exactly what you mean - that ole good time feeling you get when you hear your fav musician live - it does carry for some time after the show - so looking forward to getting my Mule on next month - WOW its November already.
Leah Marie, Lee Roy Parnell painted SWFLA red last Saturday night, turned my clock back to 17
I really do just love everything about that man, his music, his style, the way he treats his fans like Family..one in a million..
Kevin got hung up at work, so we breezed in a little later than we would have liked...
We r so lucky to have a little Blues Honky Tonk out East Ft Myers, last time we were there, young Berry graced the stage..
As we walked from the parking lot, the owner of the club was playing Soulshine loud and proud :reddancer: with his band π
Tommy Lee's a good ol boy from VA, great taste in music and runs such a fine establishment , just off on an old country road/ horse county.
Turned out to be the coldest November 1st on record in Lee County, perfect for my hot blood, gave me a chance to shake my $ maker without fainting from the heat lol.
Kevin had such a much needed good time, he's been working so hard, good to see him and Lee Roy smiling ,sharing stories about the kids. Lee Roy has a new baby boy Jack, he must be somewhere between 2 & 3 years old by now. LR was glowing , nothing like a baby boy.
Solo, no 2nd guitar, which spoiled the hell out of me with non stop slide ..kind of like twin guitars, triplets..he's so smooth , he transistions from gorgeous Country slide to hard Southern Rock ( u know, rock rock lol..I love that) and that West Texas Swing..oh..
Good God, LR can play some T Bone Shuffle make your blues melt away into the heavens...
and Duane & Dickey....My personal favorites..
I know LR saw I had a touch of grief on my face, much as my Joy to be there had to be showing.
Don't know about anyone else, but I can feel the goofiest smile on my face when I hear great slide
It is a sort of grief , don't Ya'll think? to never have another Allman Brothers Band LIVE to look forward to..
Thanks to LR, lifted me with just the slightest tease from LAFE, just enuf for me and no one else, it even went over Kevin's head, and forget the Country crowd, they were in HEAVEN singing along with every pure LRP song he could charm the crowd with.
Big husky Country Cowboys singing loud and proud while pretty little Country girls danced, a few with eyes shining with a stray tear here and there , as LR wove his hits ino a lovely musical quilt, I tell you people, we had us a time .
As we all grow older, responsibilities seem to bear down..
I know I am blessed to still have my holy Irish terror of a Mom to care for, God love her, she still shops at Publix every week, with a little help from me....and K Mart, she loves KMart, she's Bklyn thru & thru...I have to take her to KMart for her Nathan hot dog , make her smile .
I don't think we realize how much energy we steal from the musicians we love, I know LR show gave me the strength to take Mama out for dinner Sunday, Publix, KMart..the whole deal, with and an inexplicable good feeling that wont go away anytime soon
Oh did I need that show..and Gregg tix...Gregg tix are in the mail *happy sigh* ...LR 's show will carry me thru till New Years...then my concert dreams depend on GAF start the New Year off right..
God bless the musicians, l just love them..that's all there is to it...
shalom y'all! to help remember me, I'm red dog's redheaded gypsy lady from ky the song he never recorded - gypsy lady she walks across the room with her lo ng red hair. . .I'm Aaron's mom. I hope someone's tour will make it to Louisville, ky so I can see everyone again. miss the macon days, miss red dog every day. kept in touch with decia a few years back. auggie and I lost contact in 09 while I was going through a particularly nasty divorce, we all know how much he hated conflict. talked to kim psyne a few years ago, also rickey Hirsch and it would mean a lot to hear from any of y'all who remember me,
with love, rebekah
only if I can turn back my own clock to 40 LOL
Leah Marie,
If we turn our clocks back every Saturday night when will we be able to see the original ABB at The Fillmore?
Tom :smoke:
BLD. I am turning my clock back to 1971 π
