I thought Whipping Post and Drreams were also the signature Allman Brothers sound... guess it depends on what you like.
Good Morning Folks,
I was listening to the Grateful Dead hour last night and they were promoting the upcoming ABB & PL&F's show for July 3rd quite a bit throughout the program. They were giving away a pair of tickets to one person that could answer what the name of Phil's new CD was, and name three songs off of the CD, so naturally I couldn't resist. I called in, got through right away, answered the three questions, and whattaya know, I won 2 free tickets to the big show. I wasn't planning on making this particular show, but I think I need to go now. Well, I hope everybody has a great Sunday. Peace,...Neil
What the HELL happened to "Elizabeth Reed" and "Jessica"?
Bring Dicky BACK!
Warren is better in Phil & Friends!

Just getting back, don't have the setlist, but history was made tonight....Whipping Post closed the first set (with a very nice intro that had everybody guessing what it was, and the band grinning from ear to ear when Oteil hit the opening riff). First set also included a fabulous Stormy Monday and Hoochie Coochie Man (can't get enough of those). Second set was no slouch, either.
Great show, even better company.
Off to sleep, more tomorrow.
take care,
Paul
spent 3 nights at the Warfield and you guys were so damn awesome....can not wait to see you all again !!
Great story, Sheep. Lets you know just how dedicated to the music Warren really is. Wonder what the Mule played down there.
Sheep thanks for sharing that.
dying to hear what the ABB did in Chi town tonight......
I feel bad for Ron-e and blue fox. I know how we all get with tickets and trying to scope out the best way to be in a sweet spot. Brent Dino & I all bought tickets and none of us got anything great for the wiltern...
good luck everyone on tix
peace love and beautiful music--Scotty
The following is from jambands.com. You may ask yourself, what does Warren do on a day off from touring? Here's what he did yesterday:
MANCHESTER, TN - Warren Haynes joined Les Claypool's Frog Brigade earlier today on the Stadium Stage at Bonnaroo. Haynes emerged for a monstrous guitar solo during Shine On You Crazy Diamond, but left before the song ended and was literally dragged off the stage to make it over to the Arena Stage, where Govt Mule was waiting to begin its set. Immediately following the Frog Brigades set, Claypool took the stage with Mule for Drivin Rain; DJ Logic also sat in for Sco-Mule.
I'm only here for a short time, or else I'd be playing with a lot more of these bands, says Haynes. This is such a great bill and so many of our friends are playing this weekend.

MAJOR thanks to Sang for the Mule shows (Chicago and Madison). This rocks!
Hey there sweet family,
The information I posted this morning came directly from Clear Channel and Alltel Pavilion. As soon as I received it I shared it with you because I know Raleigh is a very popular show. I also sent out a POG with the information. That the tickets didn't go on sale is huge concern - one I've tried to contact the folks at Alltel and Clear Channel about, to no avail yet. I doubt they're going to go on sale at all today now. Please know we always try to give you the most accurate informtation available as soon as it's available and I'm trying to get to the bottom of this. Maybe something good will come of it.
Take care and know that you are loved,
Lana
Sounds like the band crancked it up in Chicago-----------woooohoooo maybe next year I will make it there.
Still waiting for that West Palm Beach date to be confirmed. Raido here seems to say it is a go and tix will go on sale in a few weeks. Just want to hear that from Lana (smile).
My son went to his first concert last night...Brooks and Dunn (at least it was not rap) and got a taste of corporate America.
On top of the $35.00 ticket price, they charged them $20.00 to park the car. And the food prices were outrageous. I felt bad for them. 2 sodas and an order of chicken fingers........a whopping $15.00. And get this, beer---only $9.00 a pop...unreal. He said to me, Mom how the heck could you ever take a date to a concert? It would cost me a a whole paycheck to do that. Welcome to the real world, kids. Such a shame that it has to cost so much for them to have some fun. Guess I will pay his cell phone bill this month.
Getting fired up for P&F, Ratdog and Dickey. Radio here seems to think there is going to be one hell of a jam at that show. Phil, Bob, Warren, Jimmy, Dickey and Don all jamming together.......sounds like a great night of music to me. Seems there are lots of ABB and Dickey fans down here...maybe I will meet some peachheads at the show.
Not only that, I'm very likely to sit right here until about noon-15 to make certain I don't miss out then! ahahahahaha!!
Now, if I could just will DB & GS to play the Visulite here...
Yep, we've got the fever all right...incidentally, Beth's office has declared the day of the Chralotte show a holiday beginning at noon...
