Gregg and Warren also played an acoustic version of Come and Go Blues at Warren's Christmas Jam in Asheville back in 2000 (12.21.00) .
Long Island Alert --- Just saw that Oteil's Band will be playing Dave Glickers Downtown in Farmingdale on Nov. 14th.
Too bad this coincides with the DTB show at BBKing's that same night.

Yes that version is out there on a 80 or 81 show I have it somewhere in the collection would have to dig for a few minutes to find it when I get home and yes it's awesome

Gov't Mule lines up new album, DVD, tour dates
Anyone post the Daytona & Clearwater setlists yet?
If you have seen the film "Brothers of the Road" you would have noticed the
great acoutic version of the great song Come and Go Blues. I was wondering
if that version of that particular song was available on CD anywhere?
Hey Brent ! I remember your blow by blow account of your meeting w/ Mr. Haynes .... still makes me laugh ... took you a day to untie that tongue ... You still owe Scotty for bailing you out of that one !!
Hey gang, my extra tickets for the Atlanta show have found a new home and are officially off the market.
Cheers,
Stephanie
Great write-up, Hophead and JNB! Well done!
Awesome Hophead! Thanks for sharing. I am impressed on how composed you guys remained. The times that I have met any members of the ABB I have had problems stringing coherent sentences together.
Thanks to Hophead for telling us about your time with Warren.
IMHO - two of the best things that ever happened to the Band was getting Warren in the first time (Thanks Brother Dickey) and then getting him back.
I recall from an interview that Warren didn't sign on to re-join until after he spoke with Dickey and made sure their relationship would remain intact.
Warren Haynes - a great player, fantastic singer, class act, fine writer, engineer of: Deep End, One for Woody, Christmas Jams and more. Love that he pays homage with great covers of Beatles, Floyd, etc etc etc.
His tremendous talent and all the accolades he gets of course never takes away anything from Duane and Dickey.
We are way blessed to have Warren in this Band and long may that continue........

Thanks for all the kind words about the Warren post, folks, but JNB and I worked on it equally and he deserves full credit. One thing worth noting -- after the show I approached Warren and thanked him for talking to us. I let him know we had written down all the things he'd told us and (without our even asking) he gave us permission to publish it. I'm glad he did -- I think what he said was important.
In a few minutes we head for Savannah!
Wow!! Thanks Hophead for a touching
review and insight. I have met Warren on several occasions and he is ALLWAYS a great guy!! Warren is NOT a "rent-a-guitarist" in any shape or form and for some idiot to assume so is just ignorant. He is a brother and I consider him a "member" of the
band I have loved for 33 years.
Looking forward to the Fri Dickey show in Huntsville then to B'ham for the 'Bros....a weekend to remember.
The Jam for Duane is really coming fast ...Oct 12, in Oneonta, AL....hope you all can make the event. Always a
real blast with music, food, fellowship
with the greatest fans of brother Duane (and Berry) and the ABB ever.
The BEST spirit of any event you will ever attend!!!
Lordy , Lordy, bring it on home to me!

I agree bigwindy, discount tix for an ABB show in Atlanta is strange indeed. I might be a little peeved if I paid full price the day the tix went on sale.
Derek's opening!!! Hot dang this trip keeps getting better. Can't wait to meet all y'all. Peace!
Hophead, that was some conversation! Thanks for sharing it with us. When Warren got back with the ABB, my biggest concern was that Phil and Friends might take too much of his time. It makes me feel so good to hear that the ABB is Warren's priority, and turning down that Grateful Dead gig shows that this is where his heart is. We love you Warren, welcome home!
Charlesinator, Derek's band opens at Oak Mtn.
If anybody coming to our Oak Mtn. pre-party wants a Fillmore video, please email or PM me. I'll try to accomodate as many as I can handle.
Hophead,
Thanks for sharing that great story. So glad to hear that the band has been updating the new album as the songs have become more polished. On the way to work this morning I was listening to Desdemona from the Beacon '02 and then one from the Warfield and it is easy to hear how much the song had grown in just 3 months. I would imagine that this also means that Oteil's new bass will be present on the new album, I think that is very important as it fits and adds so much to their sound. I just want the album to be as good as possible as well as an acurate representation of what this band is capable of!
It makes me happy to hear that Warren is so into being with the Brothers again, having a good time, and proud of the music they are making!
Tim L, thanks for the heads up on the Atlanta tickets. People who are going to that show this is a great time to grab your friends who weren't totally sure if they wanted to attend because of money restrictons or whatever. $15 for a lawn seat, they have no excuses! Lets pack the place for what should be a barn burning performance in their hometown!
