Barry Richmond Kicks ASS
Hey y'all!!! Merry X-mas and Happy New Year! I hope next will be better.
I've been outta the loop struggling to get by or so it seems. Anyway.......
Went out and saw some cat named Cyril Lance last nite. Great show! Although I was just about the only one there and left at 1:00 am, what I saw was awesome. Cyril was a very good player quite capable. And he also had a player named Matt Jenson on B-3 who was a monster. Then to top it off he had none other than Johnny Neel on keys. Johnny is still blind still crazy and playing and singing better than ever. Seriously these two guys take back seat to nobody with their playing.
I picked up both of their CDs. I can't stop listening to Johnny Neel's Late Night Breakfast. What a great CD cover as well. Maybe I don't see the big picture but Johnny is a serious talent in this idiom of music that we love so much.
He also said something pretty cool. He said, "I can't tell if there is thirty or thirty thousand of you out there. Its like there is thirty thousand of you out there to a blind man." And sure enough he played like he was at Woodstock.
Anyway just a little heads up for the rest of y'all. Check out Cyril Lance or pick up his or Johnny Neel's CD. You'll like. Peace.
Oh yeah Goliath...."when my left I jump. Somebody got to go."
A public message to Leftcoastblues ..... Our Saturday Beacon tix arrived today .... are we really going to the Big Apple in March ?
Let's drag Scotty w/ us ....
Cool beans, Rubba. *smile*
What's the seating deal for the civic center. Like...are there any?
Lammie...try and get that bus over 45 MPH for this trip, would ya?! *grin*
Jim...if you change your mind I can still pick you up on the way to Asheville. 🙂
What's one more prankster on the bus? 😎
Thanks Jeanne - and does Lammie still need to learn that one must be careful what is said around the pups?
Beacon, Beacon, Beacon!
And I'm here at the GB right now, 'cause the Forum thread on "December 7, 1941" is too profound and important for me to digest on a Friday afternoon...
Not to worry Jeanne.... I'll be there 🙂
Jim...sorry I'll miss you at my first Christmas Jam next week, but look forward to seeing you at your first Beacon in March!! *smile*
If you go to the trade forum, I have made a Derek & the Dominos offer that is still open.

Hey now! How y'all doin' today?
Just wanted to check in and say that my 'puter has been on the blink for the last week or so (bad video card, if you're scoring at home). I can only spend a very small amount of time on the one at work before the boss lady catches me--"Are you on the Allman Brothers site AGAIN?!?"--but I have been keeping up with all of the goings on.
Anyway (yeah, I AM going somewhere with this), those of you waiting for packages from me, be patient, I'll get 'em out soon--the replacement part will be in my hands in the next day or two, and then I'll commence to burnin'.
As Hot'LantaTim pointed out earlier, we will indeed be arranging a little pre-show meet and greet for the dTb show in Atlanta in a couple of weeks, so those of you that are going to be in town, please get in touch with one of us for details.
Say, Tim, what exactly are those details, buddy?
:boomerang:
Only three months to go 'til the Beacon!! Hey Philly Booobbbbb, when shall we start campin' out, Bro? I'm ready!!!
:mohawk: :bounce: :mohawk: :bounce:
Hope everyone is well. I'll be back in the loop soon.

Bro Allen,...:birthday: to you. Hope you enjoyed your day. Happy Friday the 13th to everyone. My birthday was on Friday the 13th, back in Sept., so it's always a good day for me, but according to Savannah, his day didn't start out so smooth. Peace everyone,...Neil
Damn, Other One, I just saw your post and I'm missing you as well! This could be my "Make New Friends" Beacon Run! Peachnutt, let's get our name tags ready!
