The Atlanta 9/20/02 show was my first ABB concert since 12/27/72 (that's right 1972). Could hardly believe my ears when they began Whipping Post...I found myself thinking about music's ability to transcend the "time-space continuum"...
It's the Whipping Post from that Atlanta show that knocks me out. After a great show with lots of hot jams, Jimmy Herring came out and guested on a killer Southbound, and I was sure it was the set closer and would have walked away satisfied. THEN they bust out a 17 minute Whipping Post, complete with mind-melting solos by Derek and Warren! What an "above and beyond" way to end the show! Without a doubt the best jam I have heard from this lineup, and one of the best versions of Whipping Post ever.
I agree, that show is a good one!
Can't get enough of the Atlanta 9.20.02 show.especially Woman Across the River and Rockin Horse.Warren really lets his Jeff Beck flag fly on his RH solo to my ears.
Thanks to Jim for the show.Atlanta also reminds me to say" Hi to all my friends".Miss ya Tommy, got a nice pic of him this week too.
Thanks for the help!

Needing some technical help here . Last weekend we recorded GAF. We used a lap top ,direct to the hard drive. When we got home we listened to a couple of spots just to check the recording. It sounded GREAT !! Well after saving the file ( actually watched bar fill as % increased ) the file was temp lost. We culd not find it. Turns out somehow it was in a hidden file folder and somewhere else it was clicked not to show up when a search was done. We did a defragment and since there was a file unfragmented and path that used enough memory for the show we knew it was somewhere. Like I said we found it and have burned a couple of copies. Now here is the problem the discs I have , I should mention I am useing a stand alone system, work in the cd-rw drawer but not in the cd-r drawer. The message says disc not finalized, however I watched the last disc and they were finalized and the copywrite protection was turned off. The disc plays in all other cd players I have tried, car, walkman, computer, etc. Like I said the problem is I can't copy it from disc to disc. Anybody out there with any suggestions please get ahold of me. thanks in advance

Gerald,...Listening to that 8-6-71 Dead show right now, and it's very sweet. I think this is my favorite Dead era. Might have something to do with growing up in that period, I don't know, but I love it. THANKS,...Neil

Lana / Rowland ,
Not that I want to seem greedy here but just wondering.... is the Band going to announce any additional dates for the Beacon run anytime soon?
Thanks for indulging me.........

:homer: mmmmmmmm Beacon
Same here...I got two orchestra tix for 3/21 on the presale but don't yet have them in hand...
...and I was wondering if anyone had their pre-sale tickets in hand yet...I'm not too sure about offering up tickets I don't actually have in hand yet...
Speaking of hands, picture a guy with his hat in hand, standing in the doorway in a hesitant way...and...
...wondering if anyone in the Asheville and Raleigh areas would be willing to host a houseguest for one night for those dTb shows...
Does this mean that Leon may be heading to the Beacon? This is gonna be a party.
Hello everyone! I was 'fishin' to see if anyone would happen to have any extra tix for sale for the 3/21 &/or 3/22 Beacon shows. THANKS!
