Well, not that anyone cares particularly about the details... but for both of you who do ;), after digging around I found that the problem with some of you not getting the POG this week was pretty simple -- the email list server just good old fashioned ran out of disk space! It got through most of the names but when it ran out of space it stopped sending the POG's. Deleted some files and we should be back in biz next time.

Rowland
OK, here's the $64,000 question. If one bought tickets to 3 shows from the original 9, then bought tickets for a FOURTH show -- from the new shows -- would that person's order be honored?
Boy, that 3-1-03 show surely bodes well for a scorching 14 show lineup in NYC...hope to make more than 3 of 'em...
Hi from frigid Sanford, North Carolina.

Afternoon all.
Not sure if this was poster or not.
Went to see PBS (3/4 of the Funky Meters-George Porter Jr., Russell Batiste (also Vida Blue) and Brian Stoltz) a BB's in NYC thursday night. Openning act was Anders Osbourne. Anders was great and PBS were smoking. Then for the last half hour or so who should come out to give us some FUNK but.......WARREN. They did Sco-Mule>Voodoo Chile>Third Stone From The Sun. TORE THE ROOF OFF THE SUCKER!!!
Jeff
Lana,
Whats up with the 3/1/2003 date Orlando, FL for the Allman Brothers
Thanks
Thanks Capt. Skip for the heads up on the issue of the "Duane Allman"
Les Paul guitar from Gibson. I understand he's buying one for each of the recipients of his electro-notice??
Of note, there are also two Dickey Betts re-issue Les Paul guitars from Gibson, his "goldie" and the famed "red-top",(which I am having restored), available for purchase unless allready sold out.

Hey there sweet family,
Ron, Sony owns the rights to the ATL Pop Fest. At some point the ABB and Sony might get together and release it, but it's not on the immediate horizon. Also, it would be a safe bet that the ABB aren't going to release anything in roughly the same time frame as the new CD, Hittin' The Note, which is expected 3/18.
Take care and know that you are loved,
Lana
Thanks to the AOLers who PM'd to tell me that they did indeed get the POG this time... and again apologies that some of you, AOL or not, didn't. The good news is that it looks like we -may- have found a way to get the POG past the AOL spam filters, which involves slowing down the rate at which we send emails to AOL accounts. Makes it harder for us to get you info quickly but at least it gets through.
best,
Rowland
Hey y'all! Just wanna wish all my friends and everybody on the GB a great day from snowbound M'ville. May God bless each and everyone of you specially today. Peace.

"All my friends came to see me this year. And I was glad to have them here..... Maybe you were gone away.
You can come back any ol' day. If we find how to rely on time." Scott Boyer
Happy first Birthday, Sydney! :fanfare: (Sorry about being one day late, sweetie!)
Dino, I saw your mention of The Blasters on one of these GBs. Ahh, "American Music"! I was fortunate to see them at the Stone Pony in the 80s, but after Dave Alvin had left the band. With the late Hollywood Fats on guitar, they sure smoked that little club, though!
I got the DVD of "The Last Waltz" for Christmas and finally got to watch it all the way through last night. What great stuff! I hadn't realized just how much of the music was rerecorded, though. Many of Rick Danko's lines that I was hearing did not match up to what his fingers were doing and where they were on the fretboard of his bass. For example, on "Farther (on) Up the Road" with Clapton, Rick was mostly staying on the root note in the pictures, but the sound had a 1-3-5-6-8 standard blues walking bass line playing. That turned me off just a little, but it's still a wonderful show, and I'm glad I have it.
Enjoy your day...
Oh, anyone still thinking of the Mule on 2/15 at 9:30 Club? Party at Stephanie's? 😀 Let me know.
What's the story on the 3/1/03 ABB concert at Universal Studios Orlando?
Hi Everyone,
Amazon showes a March 18th as the release date for Hittin The Note. I'm sorry I don't know how to put a link in. They had this listed but not the archives new release listed. Jackie

Not sure how legit this is, but MyMusic.com is indicating a 3/30 release for what appears to be the next archival release, Atlanta Pop Fest. Here's the link:

This jives with what Kirk mentioned a few months back in a radio interview.
