Hey NYPeachhead,
You got it 🙂 Filming of the DVD is supposed to happen 3/25 and 3/26.
Take care and know that you are loved,
Lana
Woody, sending positive vibes and prayers for you and your family bro. We are all here if you need us. Peace.
Hey Gb. What are the dates again for the DVD taping? 3/25 and3/26? Just wondering. Alot of good ABB news for 2003. CANT WAIT FOR THE BEACON!!
GREAT IDEA ZAMBI !!
My prediction is that Wasted Words makes its Beacon debut this year!
I would love to hear You Don't Love Me and Outskirts of Town. How about footage of Woody on the DVD? I guess I'm going to need to buy one of those things. Any suggestions?
Great article on the release of the new CD, the new DVD and the Beacon run. Sounds like an exciting time for the Brothers right now. "Instrumental Illness", I like it.
Woody,...Still thinking of you and yours, be well,.....Neil
Bring back "Get On With Your Life".......EAPFP
Zambi - I would love to hear them do Loan Me A Dime again. That was definitely a highlight of the 2000 concerts. That song is totally made to be an ABB song. I wish they would play it again. It would be interesting to have Warren playing it as it was obviously just Jimmy & Derek that summer.
Hey Sweet Family and Band members, anyone talkin to Jaimoe, please tell him to check his privet messages, he has one from an old Tall Dog Band member!!!
Sincerely In The Light, Lee
Considering how much a single DVD disc can hold (they probably could include both shows being filmed in their entirety), I think it would be cool if they had a couple guests at the Beacon nights they're filming: namely Jackie Pearson and Jimmy Herring. We could still get a full-length "concert performance" with the current band, but why not do a couple songs with Jack and Jimmy? They could just throw in a couple extra tunes on the DVD, sorta like bonus tracks, and that wouldn't interrupt the "flow" of the concert experience of ABB '03 for folks viewing the disc. But bonus tracks would acknowledge the prior musicians/lineups with something official with them playing with the band. That way we could also get "official" releases of some of the songs that are now gone - I'm Not Cryin', Everyday, and Loan Me a Dime come to mind. What do y'all think?
Mom, Dad and Charlie Trucks (it's a small picture, but he's CUTE...looks like his Daddy :guitar: )

Jeanne - I note that the Kerry Kearney Band and the Gathering of the Slide will be at the Brookhaven Lab on March 1, 8 pm. Little Toby Walker, Amy Helm and Michael Falzarano of Hot Tuna will also be there. I am seriously considering attending this show. Can you tell me if it is near where we met up last June for the free blues festival?
Prayers and my deepest condolences to Woody for your loss. Your brother will always be in your heart.
New CD to be released on March 18 and they're covering Heart of Stone - very interesting!
See you all the weekend of March 21-22!
Hey now Lee -
Yes, she's pretty good. Donna is the Real Thing.
Often while watching her solo on her Les Paul Custom I see her reach the Zone, where she is truly hittin' the note. She attains a state of consciousness where her heart connects directly with her guitar and the music clearly flows out from her soul. I can give no greater compliment.
Donna is the whole package -- songwriting, singing, lead guitar and oh what a sweet slide!
I can't wait until you get to hear the CD -- PM me as soon as you listen to it for the first time!
Woody, I'm deeply saddened by the news of the death of your Brother. I know you will cherish his memory forever. All of my good thoughts and vibes are heading to you and your family and every time I drive down to Hatteras I'll tip my hat to you and your Brother. May he rest in peace.
Johnny
JTuna, I think that the DVD/video was released in 1994...that would be the 1980s Gainesville show...some interesting hotel jam footage and acoustic footage from the studio on there as well...
Hophead..thanks for the tip.. just ordered one too...
CUH.... gotta smile right thru them blues... each way you turn someone somewhere is fighting thru something similar or worse...
