Hey, bill from Kincardine. Do you work at the Bruce plant?
Hey GB. I hear you about the snow. Man I just through out the garbage and its STILL snowing!! Looks like I will be working from home tomorrow :). Everyone have a good night. Peace!
I love the snow but enough already!
TerriB's a PeachMaster! (PeachMistress??) Either way, congratulations!
Hi. I hope everyone's doing okay after all of this horrible weather! Lana, I hope you didn't get another ice 'event" like early December's.
We have another snow/ice day off tomorrow. It's supposed to be in the 50s by the end of the week around here. However, I went outside this afternoon and walked across the top of our ice/snow mixture and didn't sink down at all.
Today I went through many of the stray shows I had lying around, and I've found three duplicate shows. They remind me of much warmer times--including one where someone we know wore a hockey jersey on a 94 degree day...ahem!
FREE to three different good homes:
Either
9/2/98 Fox Theatre, Atlanta--3 Fuji discs
OR
6/30/02 DTE/Pine Knob, Clarkston, MI--2 Fuji discs
OR
7/3/02 Riverbend, Cincy, OH--2 no name discs.
Please PM if interested in any of the above. Please indicate your first, second, and third choices of shows. Include your mailing address. No B or P required.
Thanks for playing! Stay warm and dry, folks...
Thought we had a lot of snow up here in Onteri-eri-erio, but it sounds like our friends and neighbours to the south are getting buried. Hope you've all got shovels and lots of warm clothing. I'll be thinking of you while I shovel the driveway for the 40th time.
Jack, from London, it was my understanding that Vivendi bought Seagrams and pushed the Bronfmans out.
I sure hope everyone that is snowed in stays warm this evening. Today was sure damn cold here at the beach, however I warmed up with shots of Bacardi Select and Red Stripe chasers. The damn sun sure is bright tonight....wait that's a lamppost.
Stay warm all and catch a good buzz.
OldCoot,
I would be glad to help spread all the DTB that I can. 2.3.99
I have 18 inches.........of snow that is!!!
:cold::cold::cold::cold::cold::cold::cold:
Lots of fun....except the shoveling!!!
:looney::looney::looney::looney::looney::looney::looney::looney::looney:
Enjoy!
Please forgive my ignorance, but what is HAHT anyway? Thanks,...Neil
Hey there sweet family,
Glad the HAHT shows are getting circulated :clapping:
The guys stayed at the Little House for the Raleigh show. They spent a lot of time in the music room going through and listening to our CDs to hear what other people were up to. Derek was supposed to camp out in Shey's room, but gave the bed up to Rico and slept on the couch "because he's the old guy" 😉 Derek had trouble cashing a check, so Shey took him to First Union where he opened his first checking account - the beginning of her career in finance! 😉
We'd had Kofi perform solo for HAHT before - and were treated to some original tunes written especially for us. Unfortunately I don't think that show was taped, but one of our international associates was so blown away by Kofi he took dozens of pix.
We also had Dick Griffin perform twice. He'd come into town, hook up with local musicians rounded up to play with him, rehearse with them for about an hour, and (presto!) put on a great show.
One of my favorite HAHT corportate events was getting The Oakley-Krieger Band to play for HAHT in Los Angeles during a trade show. Again, not sure if Rowland taped that, but if there's an extra t-shirt to be found, it's yours OldCoot 🙂
The guys really liked doing corporate gigs. If you're ever putting one together and need a little help, all you gotta do is ask.
Take care and know that you are loved,
Lana
Hey Gb. Man is this snow ever gonna end? 20 inches and counting. CABIN FEVER!!!! Good thing I have the tunes to get me by. Actually just picked up the Song Remains the Same on dvd. Awesome!!! My friend Mary Jane comes in handy too on snow days. Hope everyone is having a good presidents day. Peace!
Old Coot:
I will help spread 6-18-96 DTB.
Ornette Coleman appeared on The Simpsons last night in Lisa's dream. 🙂
Vivendi, the conglomerate that owns Universal is "lead" by Edgar Bronfman who just had to have a movie studio/recording biz.You know the old saw about the first generation earns it,the second burns it- well this guy is the poster child.
His family made gazzillions during Prohibition supplying Canadian booze to US bootleggers. In fact Joe Kennedy made his fortune with them.Seagrams was a very prosperous, cash rich corporation until Egdar Jr. got his mitts on it and blew most of it on aquiring Vivendi. Now that his family's 's net worth is only measured in millions, not billions they have to hold out for every possible $$ they can wring from his bad investment so music fans get the shaft, makes me embarassed he's Canadian.
Twelve more days.
Hey OldCoot, I'd be glad to help spread the 6/18/96 dTb show! I'll post on the Trades Forum and then send you an email.
Thanks to both you and Rowland for this!
Happy Monday everybody! My wife Tammy and I just moved into a new house! WOO HOO! 🙂 As if that wasn't enough, they announced the Jazz Fest schedule yesterday. Life is good! You can check out details at nojazzfest.com. My favorites of the first weekend are Bob Dylan and jazz legend Ornette Coleman, plus all the great local acts.
Hey Coot, I'll take that Raleigh show....Thanks Rowland and Old Coot!
Anybody want some, come on over to the Forum...

Maybe with folks snowbound, this is a good time to recruit some volunteers to help spread several Derek Trucks Band shows.
Did you know that HAHT Software unknowingly played a key role in helping formulate the current DTB lineup? It's true. On several occasions, HAHT hosted private parties for their clients and hired the DTB to perform (how cool is that!!!) On 2/3/99 at The Four Points Hotel in Raleigh, Derek, Yonrico & Todd were joined for the entire show by Kofi Burbridge. Supposedly, this is the first time that Kofi had played with the other three. Later that year, Kofi began touring with the band and became a full-fledged member in 2000. Now, his contributions to the DTB can't be overstated. Sometimes, a single spark can start a fire. What made that performance even more unique is that Rowland asked the band to play "some light jazz" in case people wanted to visit during the show. So, this is very likely the only time that the DTB played, or will ever play, an entirely instrumental show.
On another occasion, 6/18/96, a similar client get together occurred at the Louisiana Cajun Bar & Grill in NYC. Again with the DTB performing.
Both shows are audience source, two discs each. Neither, to the best of my knowledge, has ever circulated.
As if Rowland & Lana haven't already done so many amazing things for our benefits, Rowland has done it again. He had the foresight to tape both shows and has been kind enough to provide me with a copy of each. That is where the volunteers are needed.
I will provide each of four volunteers (two for each show) a copy of these performances. That's if you're willing to go to the "Trades" section of the Forum and offer to B&P ten others a copy of your show. Please post here on the guest book which show you're willing to B&P and then head to the Forum and make your offer there. After posting in the Forum, PM me with your addy so I can send a copy of your show to you. Again, I'd like two volunteers for each show (6/18/96 & 2/3/99) so we can get these spread far and wide.
These are hot HAHT shows, so who is volunteering?
