Whadda morning! Kinda cool, kinda foggy, deer were feeding, owls were hooting, and yes, Billy - the turkeys were gobblin'.
In fact, they were cacklin', cuttin', purrin', scratchin', gobblin', and doing everything that turkeys are supposed to do ....... including staying about 70 yards out, behind trees, and generally in back of us.
DAMN, it's intense to have a gobbler sneak up behind you and suddenly let out a big ol' rattle. I think I'll take a little oxygen bottle next time.
Nite, nite, y'all.
Happy Birthday to Big Windy and SouthPaw. Hope it was a special day for you both.
Wishing Bill Ector the best for his surgery.
My condolences to Walker at this time of sorrow.
I posted more pictures of Beacon weekend, under fans page. Also had some shots of the band which are under the Onstage page. Didn't have such good seats this year, so the pics are not the best. May have put some pics under wrong heading, but at least they are now all up. Will put some Oteil shots up in a day or two on his site, under onstage.
Great Scott....how the heck did I miss you?!? Mucho sorry about that....I guess you will have to come back next year and I promise to take a special picture for you.
I will make a few more picture discs this week, and get them out, so if I promised you one and you don't have it yet, it will be winging its way onto you soon.
Mitch
Happy B-days to Big windy & Southpaw. Also think I missed Brofan & Dr. Warren Haynes.
Postive vibes going out to Bill Ector & Walker.
Peach Love & positve times--scotty
Wishing Bill Ector the best tomorrow.
Wishing walker some solace in this troubling time.
Wishing both Big Windy and Southpaw a very :birthday:
Hey! Any Chicago fans catch Warren today? I'm pretty bummed I didn't know he was in town for this WXRT event. Just curious about any feedback.
Happy Birthdays to Big Windy and Southpaw :fanfare:
Walker, I'm very sorry to read about your friend.
Warm thoughts to Bill Ector.
Prayers and Good vibes for Bill Ector, Walker and his friend's family and all our troops.
Walker...My condolences to you.
For me anyway some good news today.
House Of Blues Concerts is now showing the Allman Brothers and Susan Tedeschi as a confirmed show in Toronto on July 9th. Tickets on sale next Monday.
On another note....The Juno awards (supposedly the Canadian equivalent to the Grammy) were given out last night in Ottawa. Suffice to say, the show was just another reason, in a recent list of many, to not be proud of being Canadian.
Only thing that saved it for me was a stellar performance by Blue Rodeo. No doubt in my mind that they are the best musical export Canada has produced in many years.
Been meaning to post this for a week or so, but keep forgetting. Was in the record store and picked up a copy of the Crusaders new cd, Rural Renewal. First two cuts feature our friend Mr. Clapton on guitar, also killer vocals on a couple of songs by Donnie McClurkin and Sounds of Blackness. Big old wide grooves you could lose small children in, really nice. If you like folks like the Rippintons, Yellowjackets and Fourplay, these guys are the originators of the style and worth taking a listen to.
Please pray and send some good karma to my wife's cousin Chris who is in Iraq driving in the supply convoys for the Army. Hope its over and he comes back soon!
Good vibes, prayers and well wishes to brother Bill Ector who goes in for tumor surgery first thing in the morning.
JNB

I just noticed that the band will be here in Las Vegas on September 12th. Great news!!
FYI the venue is the "Joint" at the Hard Rock Hotel which is a great, small venue to see a show. What is also great is that there is no age limit so my daughters can attend their first Allmans show. I guess the 'road goes on..."
I've said it before, i'll say it again, this is a truly special website. Thanks for the support, And to answer the Record sales question. 35,000 of people like you guys are worth 200,000,000 Eminem fans. The brothers know it. Blessings walker
:birthday: to Southpaw & BigWindy..... a little light!!!
How is the new CD selling, I heard something about in the top 40, but it sounded like that represented 35,000 copies or something. I'm clueless about the record industry but that doesn't seem like a lot. Hopefully the boy's are going to reap enough of a benefit that it won't be nine more years before we see another studio cut. Hells bells I'll 63 f%^king years old (I hope).
Long Islanders ----
Wanted to be sure you guys knew that DTB will be playing StephenTalkhouse in Amagansett, Long Island on 5/30. See you there.....
:homer: mmmmm DTB on Long Island
A very merry birthday to you, Southpaw!
Happy Belated Birthday to Big Windy & Southpaw!
