Eitan: with regards to the penns landing setup, if we assume it's going to be like the Jam on the River (where i caught Mule for the first time) - the band typically plays in the stage area, with their backs to the water.... there is a nice breeze, but it's too bad it comes from Camden...(Ah the smell of camden in august...:greenhair: Speaking of the Jam on the River, i wonder if Mule will be there....hmmn...Ratdog is normally there too.

I'm not a regular on the GB. I do enjoy reading it & taking in the good vibes you all put out there. I live in north NJ & little tired of PNC for summer fix of the ABB. I'm thinking about a road trip to Tweeter in MA. I have read some mixed reviews about the venue. Any comments? Anyone know how Penn's Landing in Phila will be set up for the ABB show?

Telluride is a possibity for me. It's a day before my birthday. I've already commited to Vegas & Red Rocks though. Too bad Telluride isn't a day before or after the Rocks. Looks like I'm going to be back east for Montage & Penns Landing also. This is making up for missing the Beacon in a big way!!!

CB Neil- The reserved seats were $5 more than the GA, but I wanted a set spot in case I got in late due to parking lot activities! 😎 🙂 Leon - Looking forward to seeing you at the show! Philly Bob - The acoustics at PNC stink! My fellow folks of the Hebrew persuasion (as if we needed to be persuaded) - HAPPY PASSOVER! To everyone else - HAPPY WEDNESDAY! Get up and dance...

Karen....congrats on scorng those tickets. I assume it was on Q-107. If they're not going to play the new ABB it is at least good they are promoting them by giving out tickets to the show.

Lana wrote: The pre-sale begins Wednesday, April 16, at 10:00 AM Mountain time. Yup, this is a departure from the Peach Corps tradition of holding pre-sales in the evening but consideration is being given to radio stations in the area who are co-sponsoring the event. Ticketmaster says Internet Onsale Info Presale Start: Tue, 04/15/03, 6:00am Presale End: Fri, 04/18/03, 5:00pm Onsale to General Public: Fri, 04/18/03, 5:00pm GREAT! now, am I the only one that is confused? or the only one that didn't know? Of all weeks not to read up on latest gossip/news on the site.....:(

PBob...Montage is a really nice venue...very new...up in the woods...they moved it a few miles from the old site behind the ski lodge. The traffic kinks have slowly been getting worked out. Security in the lot can be a bit annoying...looking forward to a big GB showing there. 🙂

Merriweather Post is actually my favorite venue it out in the woods looks like an old western town when you enter pretty cool, lots of lawn. I hear you on Camden I hate to go there maybe next time I'll take the ferry over from Philly. Never been to Montage I think I need to go I vision it as the Red Rocks East lol, atleast thats my vision until I see it.

Hey now Philly Bob, The only thing Camden and the Arts Center have in common is that they are a shed. The Arts Center security is much cooler, there are grassy areas to back into in the parking lot, and a big open grass field in front of the entrance, for frisbee.. and whatever other summer activities suit your fancy. Camden has a dirty, dusty gravel lot, and you have to drive thru the ghetto to get there (from the Jersey side anyway). I actually prefer the Arts Center to most other sheds. Except of course the Gorge At George, (WA State). Anyone else ever hit that spot? I saw the ABB there (99??). As well as a bunch of other shows. It's fantastic. The Columbia River gorge runs right behind the stage, it is a magnificent venue.

Good mornin' sweet family, It would be wonderful if those of you living in the WBAB (Long Island, NY) listening area would call their request line and give a shout out for "Firing Line". They're usually a very ABB-friendly station, but to the best of our knowledge have yet to play it. The number is: 631.955.WBAB Thanks very much in advance! *k* Take care and know that you are loved, Lana

Karen,...You go girl, good for you. I had a similar experience last summer with a phone in to win tickets to the ABB/P&F's/DTB. I had to name 3 songs off of the new P&F's cd, which I had in my hand, so it was a sinch. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make the show, but good for you, congrats, Neil

Red Rocks sure sounds like fun....great to see many of you folks getting tix and the summer fun is starting to shape up for all 😎 Gotta share a story....a local radio station had a contest Rock & Roll jeopardy today. The prize was tix to Toronto Allman Brothers....of course I tried but only to get a busy signal. The first two guys answered wrong and as I persevered dialing well touching, a ringing signal came through. Another lady and gentleman answered wrong and then it was my turn....I correctly answered the question which was "which Allman was killed in a motorcyle accident"....that was a no brainer but for the previous contestants I guess not....some of the answers were Bob, Jerry and the lady even guessed Gregg....sheesh. Anyway I won the tix and the DJ was laughing because I was so darned excited and said he was glad someone that appreciated the Allmans won the tix....so was I folks, so was I.... Things are looking up and can't wait to hear some live tunes....and hopefully it'll be soon. Later, Karen
