42 DAYS UNTIL SPRING

Another fan gone too soon - Anyone know this brother who died in yesterday's train crash - may he RIP -
Eric Vandercar, 53, of Bedford, was a father of two and senior managing director and head of municipal funding in the international sales and trading department at Mesirow Financial.
A live-music enthusiast, he shared concert tapes with online archives – particular those of the band MOE, Phish and the SpinDoctors.
On Twitter, Vandercar posted that he was an extreme skier, an advanced scuba diver and whitewater rafting guide. In October, a week before he attended the Allman Brothers final concert at the Beacon Theater, he tweeted he had been to 232 of the band's shows there.
He joined Mesirow 10 months ago after 27 years at Morgan Stanley.

I was thinking with all the kids of band members there could easily be another version of the band, wishful maybe.
I would think there will be.. the 10-28 show from instant live is fantastic..but I would like to see a better production wise final statement..who knows nowadays

The Grateful Dead 50th Anniversary Tour
Interesting quote: "These will be the last shows from the four of us together," Weir told Billboard.”
This would indicate that the Chicago gig is the last but does not preclude other shows prior to Chicago.
Tickets go on sale January 20th.
See y’all on Shakedown Street!

Listening to "Low Country Blues" album today. Reminds me of hiking the woods at Wormsloe Plantation in Savannah. I love this album and I hope Gregg puts together another one real soon.
From the same source as the "non-announcement" Bruce H. on piano, Trey on guitar and vox.
Seems to be a three way rotation to include Steve Kimock and Warren Haynes.
Bobby's current contract ends on Jan. 23rd thus the end of the month announcement thing.
Lockin' and Red Rocks also mentioned.
But we all know how these things go.

Hey Tom -
Do you know who the guitarists will be at the Chicago Dead shows? Is Bruce Hornsby playing?
Weird is permitted... and often encouraged !
