Well happy belated birthday to GREAT Scott!! I know it was a fine one cause he is always groovin'. As for the San Diego show I have two winers that I'm dealing with. Brent's complaining about a football game when there are tons more games than ABB shows a few hours away. Dino, on the other hand is just on a fence with no excuse.... Heck Lana is traveling 3,000 miles..... talk about lame on the fence folks *POKE* And Buppalo- the board will travel. Dream shot would be the mushroom express with the bros Peace--Scotty

Heading over to the Beach in a couple of hours to get a head start on the fun. I'll be in the southwest corner of the main parking lot with some friends. Look for an opening in the fence that leads to a small brick building and we'll be right in that area with a black Chevy Lumina. It's real hot today so some water will have to make it into the cooler this year. I'll be the short heavy guy with a very short thick neck and a green Mississippi tee shirt on. Stop by and say hello and enjoy a beer with us. Red cups will be available so you don't get bothered by the police. Enjoy!! Be safe, John

From today's Rolling Stone Daily: The ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND and JAMES BROWN will perform at the Gathering of the Vibes festival in Mariaville, New York, July 10-13 "'Cause there's a man down there...EEEYYOOOWWW-UUNNHH...Wit' yo' bad self!" I love the imagery! 😀 Jeanne, best wishes to all the members of your family.

We have a winner. Johnny cashed in by knowing that both the ABB & Poco had "Crazy Love" on the charts simultaneously. Club Deluxe will be jamming to some very nice DTB.

Saw Dickey and the boys last night in Columbus and this band is tight and their set list is truly outstanding. What songs! High Falls, Liz Read, Blue Sky, Nobody left to Run with, Come into my Kitchen, Seven Turns, and inspiring version of Jessica for the finale to name a few. He was right on the money all night long and loved the interplay between him and Toler along with an awesome sax player and an excellent keyboard player. This band is tough! I'd rate this show a highlight of over twenty shows I've seen of DB and GS and also the majority of ABB shows I've been to with the exception of the pre-Derby concert back in 1978 in Louisville. If you get a chance check these guys out.

Hey Now - Checkin in after a stint overseas. Anyway, can anybody clarify the start time for the AC show? I thought I remembered somebody mentioning a 7 start rather than the tix, which indicate 8. Also, see you guys at the pub hopefully. Finally - much belated Thanks go out to Jim for the Beacon Tix - I really appreciate that John
