:birthday: greetings to Jaimoe, Mama and Jim!! Jim, have fun with Emily. Hope she didn't outgrow that EAP T-shirt and puts it to good use on this trip! Please say hello for me! That last set list looks pretty cool! I did feel for Lee when I noticed the absence of Rockin' Horse. File under twilight zone: I had a dream about a week ago that Warren was singing Meatloaf's Bat Out of Hell. Oh my. Turns out it was just the clock radio poking me awake with Meatloaf but I guess with the summer tour kicking off, my brain morphed it into something ABB. Gotta love what the brain comes up with when in that semi-sleep state.

First prayers and good thought are sent out to Paul and Heidi and their family and friends. Spent the last 2 nites a Red Rocks and am feeling a little haggered this morning. Quick review: First the best part of the shows for me so far have been meeting new people during the day on the stairs. It really has been a pleasure. Got a ticket for my new friend Ernie last nite, can't for the life of me remember what his name is on this GB. Whatever t is it was a pleasure spending the show with ya bro and I hope to see ya up there tonite. OK its really nice to see the Dead playing together again but Bobby is singing like 75-80% of the tunes. He sounds great but i would like to hear Rob barraco sing some of Jerry's songs.Rob has not sung one song so far. Joan Osborne is F%$#ing GREAT!She sang Sugaree last nite and she really did it Justice! It was my favorite part of the second set. She also sang The Days Between Sunday and it was beautiful. Jimmy is playing beautifully but the do not let him just go out there nearly enough. So I have been going to shows for 30 years and last nites Drums we the best I have ever seen. A guy name Kitaro joined Billy and Mickey, Phenomenol. Hart ended it on that stringed thing he goggles up on and he made some incredible vibrations with it that just went thru you. It felt like Phil gong thru you when they had the Wall of soun back in 74. I loved it. Anyway hope those who are catchin the Bros are enjoying your shows. Gerald, Stormy, Brofan, Goliath, JR, Lammy, Southpaw.........and many other cast of charactors I wish you guys were out here

Scott, You just worry about getting yourself to town with plenty of time to spare as it is Allman Brothers day in Georgia (which I believe should be a state holiday) and I no intention of attending work on that friday. This should leave an ample amount of time for tailgating (gotta start practicing for the start of the University of Georgia's football season at the end of August). Looking forward to seeing yourself, Goliath, Libby, Billy E. (come on Bro), Patrick Crenshaw, MusicChick, Hophead, CeeCee, Zambi, Mother Teresa, Old Dirt Road, and a host of others! Can't wait... Prayers and positive thoughts to Paul, Heidi, and family. Take care, Ryan

Very sorry to hear the news about Heidi's mother. Y'all hang in there. As MotherTheresa pointed out, only one month to go 'til Lakewood! Hey RyanBelair, I think some tailgating will definitely be in order this year, my man. There is SUCH a buzz about the Atlanta show that someone has already posted a grovel for the tapes. Now that is what I call pre-show excitement!! :bounce:

""How on Earth did they get that many songs in in 2.5 hours?"" Well, Derek & Warren (especially) played fairly short solos in LIZ REED. There was no scat solo either. Oteil did the quick jazz chord mellow solo based on the "Liz Reed" theme and went right into a funky solo with the whole band supporting him. That alone can make up for a lot of time. Plus only Warren played a solo in "Dreams", so it condenses nicely!

That is tragic news about the Rossi's - please keep 'em in your thoughts and prayers... Going to pack tonight for our 9 state, 1000 mile road trip to the GOTV and the Great Woods shows - looking forward to spending time with 10 year old peach head Emily, catching up with a bunch of you, and seeing one of the greatest line-ups of music one could imagine on Saturday! Oh - many Happy Birthdays today!
