hey gang good morning:cool: dont know if anybody posted this but thought you all would like to know In an event that's a fan favorite at Miller Park, four people in sausage costumes race around the bases between the sixth and seventh innings at Milwaukee Brewers games. Film of Wednesday night's race showed that when the group went past the Pirates' third-base dugout, Simon took a two-handed chop at the Italian sausage character -- portrayed by a 20-year-old South Milwaukee woman -- hitting her from behind and causing her to tumble to the ground. As she fell, a nearby sausage -- the hot dog -- went down as well. Simon was on the top step of the dugout and reached over the railing to make contact. "They were doing the sausage race. He hit her with the baseball bat," said Deputy Inspector Sherry Warichak of the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department, which provides security at Brewers games. "When he hit her, that other character fell." BROFAN what do you know about this:lol: WELCOME Donna Hopkins & Band, :guitarist: .

Very good show last night in TO. A perfect summer night by the water. Other material included: Woman Across the River, Inst. Illness with large drum solo, Every Hungry Woman, Good Clean Fun, Midnight Rider, Melissa, That Same Thing, Rockin' Horse .... and left us wanting more! (first rule of entertaining?) Whole band seemed to be having a good time - thought Derek caught the crowd's imagination with some wild solos (what a great style) and it's fabulous that he's more prominent in the mix now. Over for now. Large draft headache. Must re-group for Ottawa!

Speaking of the venue at Penn's Landing in Philly ...I was there the other night I saw Skynyrd there..ok show...only played 1 and a half hours..The venue is small..This show was a seated show so we had a place up front which was ok...The Allmans show is a General Admission show so this will be tough up front..Plus parking is 15 dollars...one thing better than the Tweeter you are more open air so it wont be as hot should get nice breeezes off the Delaware river... Like you said Neil, last night seemed to end way too soon. Thought the guys were really on last night with the exception of a slight mix up in Desdemona. Sound was good. Crowd was larger than I thought we were going to get. Really enjoyed Susan T's opening set and her guest spot on Stormy Monday. Hope we don't have to wait another three years to see them back here in TO. No Archival CD at the merchandise booth though. I held off ordering via HTN hoping I could pick it up last nght.

Leah, What Goliath said. Or that's what I always say when people ask, anyhoo: musically, they're pretty much the same song, and the ABB tends to avoid that kind of situation.

Okay a very quick review, just got home from the ABB show in Toronto, great to see tapers are allowed there now. Met PhotoRon, Jack, John, Glen,Karen whole bunch of other folk. ABB started with Revival, Trouble No More, Come and Go Blues...spent the rest of the show going back and forth between two seats (had my kids there, first show). Encore was Layla, great crowd, seemed to end too soon. Sure you'll get a better review from someone less tired tomorrow, good night all, great to see Donna Hopkins added here, thanks Rowland, just got the cd, it rocks!

That Linnie, I'll tell ya...we went and scouted out Concert Pier at Penns Landing tonight for Rock and Wrap it Up as Elvis Costello was playing there. Chris Robinson and his new band New Earth Mud opened for EC, so we're sitting near the catering tent watching Elvis play and we see Chris Robinson, so Linnie just went right up and shook his hand. He was very nice! We didn't get to hear any of his set though. And fellas, no Kate Hudson sightings. And PhillyBob...from what I could see, this venue looks MUCH better than Kahunaville, but I'd still rather see them across the river at the Tweeter.

Read the great review in Sound & Vision Magazine of Hittin the Note album, got a couple of tracks off one of the file trading sites, and it blew me away. Ordered the album immediately-- without hearing but part of three songs, The Allman Bros. are definately in gear and on the move. WOW! Congratulations guys. --Frank James

I'm glad to hear Jimmy was on. I dug Jimmy's playing with the ABB that second half of 2000 Summer Tour. I enjoyed what he had to bring to the table. I found it very refreshing. Not only that but Jimmy and Derek have a chemistry that doesn't exist between Derek and anyone else. There is a majic between those two that is truely wonderous to behold. Jimmy and Derek need to work together somewhere down the line. Non-believers check out DTB Out of the Madness for a little taste. I haven't heard Jimmy with the Dead so I can't comment on that, but with the exception of Project Z the majority of his stuff since 2000 has failed to showcase his talents IMHO. Frogwings wasn't that bad, but of course there's that Popper thang. Y'all all know he could ruin a wet dream. Peace.
