Scotty, sorry to hear about that. That's a real feeling of helplessness and just flat out sucks. Hope you get your MJ in LA & Vegas also. Jeanne, I forgot you took that notorious photo. What a great trip that was, also like Wayne, meeting most of you for the first time. Brofan, got your package today, big thank you for that!!!

Congrats to AIQ 6:30 last night I got a call from my girl saying we were burglarized. Got home to find everything thrown on the floor. Took the laptop and a lot of other things. Gotta clean up just to see what’s missing. Didn't get my CDs this time and left the stereo but alphabetical order will be a serious pain. Also dealing with a blah workday but looking forward to the brothers in a few weeks. Please play mountain jam in LA!!! Peace and love--Scotty

Hey Jeanne, We were kids that day! Met Rich, Brent, Tony, Seth and Scotty for the first time that day. And you of course, the photographer. David and Michael too, but they didn’t make it in the picture. That was one of my favorite days in my 45 years. Great show and great friends.

Was just looking through the fan section of the picture gallery and thought...hmmmm...wonder what's on that last page 35 (or first page, depending how you look at it). Lo and behold some very familar faces and flashbacks of black socks. Imagine that! I love the picture of the GB boys from Charlotte 2001. Y'all look like kids in a candy store. Or, ABB fans at the Ale Haus! No pics from the GAABBA or ron_e pre-show gatherings this year? What's up with that?

Wayne - You are so right about the Chicago shows. I've been meaning to write a review of the shows but haven't gotten around to it. Suffice it to say that we got two absolutely incredible nights of music! 7/29 is definitely one for the ages. It just kept getting better and better as the night wore on. And what a finale!

Congratulations, John! I wish I could join you at JAXX on Saturday, but I took a fill-in bass playing gig Saturday night. (The only consolation is that it will help pay some of these bills I've been racking up in this new house!) Best of luck with your new position, John! Hi, Wayne!

Thanks to David and Rev. Tim for the shows in the mailbox yesterday. The 7.29.03 Chicago show, wow, The Same Thing. What a workout! The sax and bass just make it. Right into Stormy Monday. Wasted Words sounds great too, but Into The Mystic still doesn’t sound right to me as an ABB tune. They save the best for last, Mountain Jam and the Blue Sky thrown in after the bass solo sounds so sweet, it will put a smile on your face. Blue Sky is a classic ABB song no matter who wrote it and it just sounds good no matter who plays, and at about 3 to 4 minutes worth, it is more than a tease. Can’t seem to stop listening to this show to put in the 7.30.03 in the player. It will be hard to top this one. Chicago must have had fun those 2 nights.

I thought the Derek show in Erie was great. I had a chance to speak with Derek and shake his hand afterwards, and it didn't seem like he was ready to bolt... Granted there was drinking, but what do you expect? Since it was free you're right there were a lot of "abbie's" (abby normals):beanie:, but the way I look at it abbies need music too. It was a peaceful gathering, didn't see anyone hassling anyone.
