Glad to see everyone getting pumped for Red Rocks! Should be a great show...of course. Wish I was going, probably the best outdoor venue I've ever been to. Red Rocks! Red Rocks! Thanks to Linnie for the really fine Hot Tuna shows! Those guys were the shi* in the seventies...what a band! You can really hear the Tuna influence in the early Govt Mule suff and Jack Casady was certainly an influence on Woody's playing. Those big booming slightly fuzzy bass notes sound sooo bad! If you don't know Jorma...You dont know Jack! I still find it kind of strange The Beacon DVD release is not yet mentioned on the home page or anywhere else even though the 23rd is almost here. Did I miss something? Peace

"A Change is Gonna Come" was written/recorded by Sam Cooke, back during the Civil Rights movement. First performed by the ABB at the 3/21 Beacon show earlier this year (also at the 3/22 show, and I believe several others).

Worried Down With the Blues was written by Warren, Allen Woodyand Jaworonicz (SP). It is on Mule's The Deep End 1. Oteil on bass, Gregg on vocals, Derek on slide. ABB starting doing it in April 95. I think. Can not help on other but not released by ABB.

Can anybody help me out here, looking forward to the new CD release and thought I had the complete prior collection, however two songs are unfamiliar, “Change is Gonna Come and “Worried Down With the Blues”? I’ve seen the brothers over 30 times from the LA show a couple weeks ago to the Humboldt days, I’m not a Beacon Boy, but sure would appreciate any insights! Woops! I ment DVD!

Have fun all of you headed for Red Rocks! (Like that needs to be said!) I'm sorry you won't be going, Lana. I look forward to reports of the festivities IF... ...we still have power after Isabel rolls through like she's supposed to! It's absolutely beautiful today--the calm before the storm, indeed! I've got AA batteries ready for my portable CD player in case the power goes--and a whole bunch of new shows to listen to! An envelope from Corny arrived today--thanks, Steve! Hi Karen, how are you feeling? Thoughts to SistaBluz/Carole today, too. Also to CowboyNeil and Brofan.

That's too bad Lana won't be able to make the Red Rocks show...:( But I have a feeling you all will try to have a great time 😉 Earlier today I conversed, well via pm conversed with a new family member that goes by the name of Puffy_O. Let's welcome her to the site and send her Birthday greetings today as she celebrates her 47th Birthday :birthday: and many more Sister. She's another fellow Canucklehead 😆 Hear that Jack, Neil, glenw, John more to the fam. Did the leftcoasters take pictures of their recent activities?? Or, are they being kept confidential until the statute of limitations runs out? Scotty is an attorney, afterall.
