Once again, here's the URL to the Billboard story Delawhere posted....with a nice pic of Jimmy & Friends. http://www.billboard.com/bb/daily/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1984260 gotta say, that's a horrible title to the story. I thought the FTC ordered a recall of the disc released last year. Y'know, once the disc gets spinning fast enough it may come shootin' out of the cd player and decapitate you or something. 😉

Many heartfelt thanks to the Brothers for an awesome tour this year. I was fortunate to see two shows (though after reading some of these reviews I wished it was 20!).:guitarist: Also, thanks for all the great reviews, some of the best people on earth frequent this site. :jump: Thanks to Lana and Rowland for a place for all of us to get together to talk about our common love! :angel2:

FWIW, a heads up to any other European GBers... I just spoke to someone from Sanctuary Records on the phone who let me know that the Region 2 DVD of Live at The Beacon is not due to be released in Europe until October 27th. So we have a bit more of a wait on our hands! Seeya, Jules

Happy Birthday to Dan Toler and Bob! I also believe John Anderson has a birthday around this time, so Happy Birthday to John, as well--whenever it is! :fanfare: Also, according to a daily e-mail I receive on the Lesh List, other music-related birthdays today include John Coltrane (1926), Ray Charles (1932), and Bruce Springsteen (1949). Not bad, huh?

HEADLINE: Bonnaroo recalled on CD, DVD BYLINE: By BARRY A. JECKELL, Billboard.com DATELINE: NEW YORK As eclectic as the festival itself, a two-disc CD release and a DVD commemorating this year's second Bonnaroo music festival in Manchester, Tenn., will showcase everyone from the Dead and Emmylou Harris to Sonic Youth and the Polyphonic Spree. The audio set "Live From Bonnaroo" and the DVD "270 Miles From Graceland - Bonnaroo 2003" will be issued Oct. 21 via Sanctuary. John Alagia (John Mayer, Keller Williams) produced the 23-track CD compilation. It includes such highlights from the June 13-15 event as the Dead's "Sugar Magnolia," Warren Haynes' "The Real Thing," James Brown's "I Feel Good" and Ben Harper's cover of Marvin Gaye's "Sexual Healing." Although some of the songs on the DVD mirror those on the CD, there are several artists and selections that are exclusive to the 22-song feature, directed by noted photographer/filmmaker Danny Clinch. Among the acts on the DVD but not the CDs are Tortoise, the North Mississippi All-Stars and Robert Randolph & the Family Band. "For all my previous films, I was the main cinematographer," Clinch says in a statement, recalling such features as "Pleasure & Pain," his 2002 Harper documentary. "For shooting something of this magnitude -- four stages, 80,000 people -- I hired cinematographers who I could trust to translate the feeling I was trying to capture... a classic hand-held documentary style combined with adventurous framing and point of view." The film will receive a theatrical premiere Oct. 8 at New York's Ziegfeld Theater. Sanctuary has previously released two separate Bonnaroo compilations and a DVD stemming from last year's inaugural festival. The two-disc audio compilation and DVD "Live From Bonnaroo Music Festival" featured some of the bigger bands that played, including Widespread Panic, Gov't Mule and Norah Jones. The single "Bonnaroo 2" audio disc followed, featuring lesser-known acts such as the Big Wu, Rana and Mofro. Here is the audio disc track list: Disc one: "Sugar Magnolia," the Dead "High Cost of Low Living," Allman Brothers Band "Wasting Time," Jack Johnson "A Spoonful Weighs a Ton," Flaming Lips "Space Headz March," Galactic "Dancefloors," My Morning Jacket "She Is Not Alone," Sonic Youth "The Real Thing," Warren Haynes "You & I Both," Jason Mraz "Walk on Me," Ben Kweller "It's the Sun," Polyphonic Spree Disc two: "Papa Johnny Road," Widespread Panic "I Feel Good," James Brown "Sexual Healing," Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals "The Seed," the Roots "Macha," Medeski Martin & Wood "Red Dirt Girl," Emmylou Harris "Sleeper," Bela Fleck & the Flecktones "Rings," Leo Kottke & Mike Gordon "I Should've Known Better," Nickel Creek "Risen," O.A.R. "Love Handles," Keller Williams "Invisible," Buddahead Here is the DVD track list: "Talkatif," Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra "Temporary Remedy." Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals "Beautifully Broken," Warren Haynes "It's the Sun," Polyphonic Spree "William Powell," Leo Kottke & Mike Gordon "Sleeper," Bela Fleck & the Flecktones "Papa Johnny Road," Widespread Panic "Uninvisible," Medeski Martin & Wood "Lowdown," My Morning Jacket "I Need More Love," Robert Randolph & the Family Band "Mud Football," Jack Johnson "Tin Cans & Twine," Tortoise "I Should've Known Better," Nickel Creek "Bull in the Heather," Sonic Youth "You Got Me," the Roots "Sugar Magnolia," the Dead "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots," Flaming Lips "Be So Glad," North Mississippi Allstars "Mother's Only Son," Yonder Mountain String Band "Walk on Me," Ben Kweller "Desdemona," Allman Brothers Band "I Feel Good," James Brown
