I am going to see RedDog at lunch, hopefully he will be leaving ICU today and back to a regular room. I sat with him for around 45 minutes after work yesterday, we talked a little, but mostly he slept. He was joking around with the nurse, Jessica, when he was awake. A good sign! If he moves to another floor, I will give everyone an update later today.

Happy Friday yall! Hopefully will be on the road in the morning to go see Red Dog and sit with him a while. Any suggestions as to what I could take in a little "care package" to brighten his day from all of us here? Suggestions........? Hate I am going to miss JFD this year I was sooooo excited, but my partners in crime backed out and I cant go by myself. But everyone that is traveling please be safe on the way but ROCK hard :mohawk: when you get there!! Thank you Gadsden crew for keepin the legend alive. Checked on Red Dog this evening and sat with him for an hour or so. He was resting comfortably and woke up for a short spell and we rapped a little. I told him everyone is asking about him and praying for him. He spent most of the time sleeping so I let him sleep. He should get out of ICU and go to a regular room sometime tomorrow. He's still pretty heavily sedated, but he's hangin' in there pretty good. Every day gets a little better. 😎 I'm headed out of town tomorrow afternoon for TN and won't get back til Sunday afternoon, but RD's brother, RC, is planning to come visit tomorrow, and Wayne will be around this weekend. I'll check in on him Sunday after I return from TN.

Thanks Rusty, just heard the news about Matt. God love him, he was a great person and player. Our prayers and sympathies for the family. Life is short, we must live to love, love to live. This weekend, we remember Duane, but Matt, you will be in our prayers and our hearts.

RedDog went in and out of sleep while Wayne and I were there. He tried to day a few words then would nod back off. We left not wanting him to feel obligated to try and talk to us. Looking at this lunch tray, it appeared like he had a few bites....;) And the nurse who is taking care of him is named Jessica....;)
