Lanaroo for those inquiring minds is a gathering of family and friends to celebrate the birthday of our beautiful Queen of Peach...Miss Lana. :kiss:
It will be hosted by our Sister and Brother here on the web, Donna and Frank Lagana ~ aka moonlight2714 at their coolio hangout The Keystone Bar in the quaint town of Ellwood City, PA (about 30 min or so North of Pittsburgh). They also have the best pizza in PA and the hippest bartenders around. And to entertain us, besides the usual PA suspects will be the extended musical family band of Matt Barranti and special guest Dusty Sommers and others to be announced....or as they arrive. 😀 And not to mention David, Frank and Uncle Biddy do one heck of a harmonica trio at any given time.
This being the inaugural year, we expect it to be a bit on the lighter side.....NOT :lol2:
So come on over, down, up, which ever way you can, folks are coming by planes, trains and automobiles....heck we trekking out tomorrow evening from Canuckyville for a 4 1/2 hour trip and that's providing the weather cooperates. So if you're closer than that....you have no excuse to not make this grand event. Other than maybe....hmmm, giving birth....:laugh:

Nice little piece on The Dead on Sixty Minutes II last night. Well done I thought, especially the little acoustic Friend Of The Devil the guys did on the streets of Haight- Ashbury. Phil still seems to get broken up talking about Jerry. Some cool live shots from the past... Very nicely done considering they only had 15 minutes or so.

Recieved my Indy Instant Live discs last night. Those first couple of notes from DWYNM do it for me every time. Kudos to evryone who made this possible, especially the folks at HTN for getting thse out so fast. Sure hope HTN re-stocks these discs for Xmas. Missed out on the NC shows. I need a Layla in my disc changer.

Changes to Warren Haynes Christmas Jam: Keller’s In, Karl’s Out
Less than 24 hours after the line-up announcement for the 15th Annual Warren Haynes Christmas Jam, the roster has changed. Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe will no longer perform at the event, but Keller Williams has been added to the bill. The show will take place December 20 at the Asheville Civic Center in Asheville, NC. The line-up also features Haynes (acoustic), John Bell, The Funky Meters, North Mississippi Allstars, Sonny Landreth Band and Stained Souls. Several special guests will also perform.

last night was my company Christmas party (there's got to be a law somewhere about that one....xmas in Novemember?)...anyway, there was a "musical comedian" - some of you Philly peeps might remember Pat Godwin from Wmmr's Morning Zoo - so he's taking request and this time I was the WHIPPING POST chick....he did it, pretty good immatation of Gregg i suppose....fun stuff!
