Yeah, that may be true. I did just get my thank you letter from BB's. Apparently due to my generous patronage, they were able to purchase a new sound system and stage. Can't wait to go back.

Anyone heard any rumblings about any of the family bands playing before/after/off days during the Beacon run? I'm going to see Neil Young on the 17th and boy, would it ever be neat if Warren could sit in with him!

Did anyone catch the info Warren gave regarding an auction on eBay for a DJ friend who has throat cancer? I tried to find it on eBay and can't locate it. I thought he said to go to eBay and then use the keyword 'magoosfriends'. Lana, do you have the scoop???

Hey I'd like to add my thoughts and musings on the Warren Haynes ABB/Dead brouhaha. First of all I wouldn't hold my breath for any official notice from the band. We are Shroomheads after all and you know how they raise shrooms? Feed 'em BS and keep 'em in the dark. Second Warren has toured with 3 bands the past two years (ABB, Mule & P&F) It hasn't affected his performance with the ABB negatively one iota IMHO. With the exception of last year, Gregg has toured continously since he was 18. Third, I'd also like to comment on something my buddy and fine drummer Rick T said, "I guess the ABB hasn't padded the pockets enough." (or something to that effect.) I feel that Warren is or would certainly hope that he is compensated based on his value to the ABB. Warren Haynes is/has been the ABB since 2001. And he could very well have been the most important piece of the puzzle that accounts for the popularity and renaissance of the band 89-96. Again my .02. Warren is in a unique position in the music world. He is loved and respected by fans and peers alike. He is one of just a handful of people who just by their presence tend to make a project better asthetically and financially. Plus I think he honestly enjoys making music. It is that important to him. Rick as a musicain certainly knows that if you want to be a better picker then you've got to pick. And while you're at it might as well get paid and do it in front of thousands of fans. If you want to be a better singer or songwriter, by golly sing and songwrite. Although Warren could be starting to suffer a little from overexposure, he is in a rare position. Each day is a new adventure for him. He can reflect on the past some later date. Dang I wish I could say that. ------------------------------------------------- "If I leave here tomorrow...............

Football is riddled with disappointments. You can take that from a Cleveland Browns fan :wall: :fanfare:Congratulations to those who are celebrating. Tony and Cheryl aka Bird72 and Ladybird, it was real nice talking to you last night. Y'all got me so psyched about the Beacon, I couldn't get to sleep. I'm running on about 2 hours of  time.

Man do I have a hangover this morning! There must have been 5000 fans at Erricson Stadium at 2 am to welcome the NFC Champions back to town. But I'll take a hangover like this any day. However, I think superbowl monday is gonna be a sick day. Also, it really doesnt matter if warren is a partner or not. To me he has been the strongest wind in the sails (but not the only strong wind) for quite some time. I bet he makes a few royalties dineros - I understand he wrote "two of a kind" for Garth Brooks. But the bottom line - one hell of a nice guy! Took the time to talk to my 15 year old brother in the Asheville Mall and was really nice to him. "better than moonshine damn sure better than rain"

Yeah Lana, I'm coming, it's part of the settlement. I think my dear wife was spouting off. I told her to go to Vegas for a week and go to ladies night with the Male dancers and maybe she'll get lucky as well. Probably not the best approach. I'm sure she'll forgive me @ some point.

Congrats to the pats and the panthers. Bookies are picking NE by 7points----I would not count Carolina out at all. A team with no superstars has definately surprised a lot of people. Both are excellent teams---I don't really care who wins but I will root for the Pats.

If the whistle hadn't blown,,and it hadn't,,,it was NOT a late hit...We're going to the Super Bowl 🙂 GO PANTHERS ! ! ! ! Next- The Pats.. So,,if you Philly fans want to blame someone,,blame the refs.. Philly just got manhandled... But, the Eagles will be back..
