I am overwhelmed with gratitude to my friends here who have sent me messages of love and support...it is only with the help of God and true friends that I have been dragged out of a bad funk.
Today is a good day. My back doesn't feel quite so bad. I have to go to work in the rain and cold but at least I have a job.
And, I am lucky enough to have all of you but most especially dear Rainy who has a heart of gold and a level of understanding and forgiveness that I have never ever encountered. Dusty has been a rock for me. Willie has been my boulder. Marci has made me laugh. Pam is getting married and I couldn't be happier for her. Canadamax, Debbie, Charlesinator, Nic, Sonny - the list is endless. Love to you all. Life is good, one day at a time, no matter how bad our troubles are.
Sending love and comfort to Red Dog today and to little Marley, to my friends Doug and Claire, to Terri B. and to everyone else who is encountering the trials and tribulations of this life that God gave us.

howdy. i just got back on the 'net, and here again after nigh on a decade. my how the site has changed... i have signed up, signed in, etc. so, i went to the forums section 'cause i have a question about something related to chuck leavell, which happened late '90's-early '00's.
i see everybody's posts, but can find no field, link, or whatever, to create a new post. obviously it can be done. if someone can tell me how to do this, i'd sure appreciate it, thanks.
if not, i'll pose my question here, though it might seem a bit out of place.

I went out to see a GD tribute band called Shakedown last night. The drummer Johnny Chang is a friend of Jaimoe. We all had a real good time and I danced the night away!
I have been busy with wedding boot camp! 😆 The Army FINALLY approved almost husband some leave time so we set a date for New Years Eve! 😀

Having a tough time...acting out, sitting on the pity pot. Back is killing me and unbeknownst to me, the brilliant doctor I found prescribed me time released morphine. When I found out what it was, I was already hooked and had to effing withdraw from the *****. I don't envy heroin addicts...what a godawful process.
Advil isn't doing it. I can't take anything that isn't over the counter (like RD mentioned once "because of my history:). In his case, it's a WTF situation; I wouldn't hesitate but this is just an everyday herniated disc (well, 5 of em).
This too shall pass, they tell me.
