Another quick update live from Red Rocks. Went to the my second Dead show and this one was dog wild. Warren opened and that alone was worth the price of admission. He did Falling Down and it was excellent. Did Going Down Slow, closed with One and Soulshine. I hate to say I was a little disappointed after the first show but the Dead could not seem to sync up. Last night they were just incredible. MONUMENTAL JAMMING. Warren seems to be gravitating towards center stage. My mind is foggy but they did Night of a Thousand Stars, All Along the Watchtower (wow), After Midnight, Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds (my favorite), Fire On The Mountain (wow), Going down the Road Feeling Bad (encore). I think both shows were around 3 hours. I think last night was Jimmy Herring's night. The band was on but JH really smoked the rocks. There was a lot of interplay between Bob and Warren but Jimmy just stayed right and tore it up all night.

Hey Joe, great to hear all is well - speedy recovery my friend. LinnieXX - don't think twice . . . if you want to see the fingers move take some binoculars, but never turn down an opportunity to see a master at work. As Woodyca said, studio albums vary in quality, and EC has had his share of not so good ones, but a live concert is always a good experience - you don't need to see the fingers to hear the sounds and feel the emotion. Enjoy.

Bunch of sleepy heads around here this morning. Going on a big canoe float this weekend for Father's Day. (Float as opposed to trip, which implies work.) Hope everybody gets a chance to wish their dad a Happy Father's Day, and thank them for being there for them.

Joe, i'm sure everything will be fine! as for clapton, a friend of mine just waved tickets under my nose, but at $87 bucks for crappy seats i'm thinking twice...i'm sure it would be worth it but unless i can actually see his fingers move i'm not terribly interested.... would love to see RR live again though....

"Hey Joe, where ya going with that IV in your hand?"..."I just yanked it out and am rockin' to the Allman Brother's Band!" Glad all is well...just speed bumps on the road of life...some small, and some so high you can't find a way to ever get over them... May the "Dreams you never see" be small ones. Welcome back, Bro!

A lot of that feedback came from me, but you shouldn't confuse his current Perry Como style album with his live shows. He still brings the house down in concert. I sprang for tickets @ the Hollywood bowl this June and can't wait. It will also be my first chance to see RR & FB as well so I'm excited!
