Thanks for the links, Tim. That article about the Dead and the ABB together shows a picture of The Gorge--WOW! What a sight/site! Just stunning. Okay, now I need to see a show at Red Rocks AND at The Gorge before I leave this earth... Scott, that *was* a festive gathering of folks--and music--on 7/4/2002! I can still picture Billy "conducting" down front. I hope he's doing the same in a few hours. Are the fine folks in MT ready for tomorrow? 😀

Hey now! With all due respect to Christmas, in my opinion this is "the most wonderful time of the year." So awesome to feel the buzz of all those getting juiced for the shows. Nicole and I threw in the Beacon Theater DVD last night to celebrate the opening of the season, and we're way fired up for the show in Indianapolis in a couple of weeks. Wish I was in Billy Eddins' shoes right about now. If I know Billy, that means black leather fitness walkers with white socks. Oh yeah!! Also very excited for Bird72 and Randall tomorrow. I've spent July 4th with the Brothers a few times, most recently in '02 in Nashville with a whole host of folks. Good times!

Yurtle, you have a great birthday, bro! Enjoy the ABB this weekend, all you lucky folks going-as if you won't. we will be thinking of you, and looking for reports. Have a ball. Everyone have a wonderful 4th, if you can. I feel pretty lucky to be in your company, and able to call some of you my friends. Thanks Lana and Rowland.

Shweet. Can't wait to see all the brothers and sisters. Bringing some first time Red Rockers with me. Took them to their first ABB show last year here in AZ and they begged me to go to RR this year. On the camera issue. The guy who pat me down let me bring in my camera after he asked me what I could do for him (with his hand out) and I gave him a ten. I think you could probably get away with this with most of them. 😀
