I've heard that many of the upcoming ABB performances will be "Instant Live" shows and for those that don't get them at the venue, Hittin' the Note will have them for sale in the fall. Thanks for the referral Shineboy! JNB

I just ordered my first two SACDs to go in my new SACD changer: Eat a Peach and Stones' Beggars Banquet. Reports state that Mountain Jam will sound like the band is playing in your living room..... Overall I've heard great things about both, even from those like me who never quite heard the difference in the "high fidelity" releases. I hope they sound as amazing as I have heard. Report to follow next week..... Tim

Hey Rick, The CD was the All Night All Stars, with Bobby Whitlock and Kim Carmel, Gregg, Jimmy Hall, T. Graham Brown, and Levon Helm... to name a few. I just got a copy today, and it's a really interesting mix of southern music standards and new material. bill

If I'm not mistaken, Don Williams originally did Tulsa Time, which EC covered. Eric's covered one or two other Don Williams songs also. Don is one laid back singer, for sure.

Thanks for the info Shineboy - any idea when the 2004 shows will be available? A company was offering them at a couple shows I was at this summer, but I never took the time to sign up for them at the venues.

Hi Everyone, Wondering if someone could provide me with the website or phone number to order the live recordings from the tour this summer. I believe that PJ Geraghty referred to it as the Instant Live 6-pack. Thanks!

Way to go Rusty. The correct answer is Don Williams. The question for Rusty: When Elton John first made it big he came to America to do a series of concerts. His mother asked him if he could look up a certain musician to get his autograph. Hence, Don Williams. She loved Don Williams. The story goes that Don was very cordial to Elton, gave him an autograph alonf with some other stuff. But, he had no clue who Elton was.

Hey now! Positive vibes and/or prayers (choose one or both, whichever suits) to Mushrooms and family. That is a tough one. Life is cruel sometimes. Hoping that Brent and Julie are parents by now. How 'bout it, 007?!? A quick amusing story, for what it's worth... A little girl (probably eight or nine) came into the health food store where I work last night that had just broken her leg. And when I say just broken it, I mean like earlier that day. Ouch. She was in a wheelchair with one of those attachments to keep her leg straight, and her cast was up past her knee--must have been a pretty bad break. Anyway, she was taking it like a trooper and smiling and actually seemed to like the attention I was giving her--she enthusiastically told me the whole story about slipping on the wet, slick cement in her garage and landing wrong. Again, ouch!! So she asked if I wanted to sign her cast, and of course I said yes, and I drew a very faithful version of the classic Allman Brothers mushroom and signed my name. She grinned and I told her it was a "medicinal mushroom." 🙂

Let's see ... clues are Elton John, think of EC, and guesses have been Chet and Carl Perkins. Think C&W ... Without knowing the question I'll guess Don Williams.
