Can't we all just get a bong?!? 😎 In Hemlock's defense, I've always found him to be a standup guy...a good person to trade with, and passionate about his music. I realize that things get a bit testy and twisted sometimes, but I've been ganged up on over on Dickey's site before, and trust me, it is no fun--which is why I mostly lurk there these days. I agree that there is a double standard that exists sometimes--it's okay to clobber the Allmans there, but not okay to even mildly question Dickey here. Okay to question the Allmans' business and personnel decisions, but when it comes to Dickey letting people go, well, then "it's Dickey's band, and none of our business how he runs it." The surprising thing to me is that nobody even sees or acknowledges the hypocricy. Nevertheless, I think it would be wonderful if we could rise above it whenever possible. When I want to call somebody out these days, I just do it in my head--been burned too many times in the past for opening my fool mouth. So I just keep it shut if I can't say something positive. So, maybe we can give Hemlock a little break. Like he said, he supports both bands. Good enough for me. 🙂

You don't seem too concerned with anyone's "book" but your own. Too bad. I had your autographed copy all ready to send out.

Hem - You must have selective reading ability. Virtually everyone on this site supports Dickey and Great Southern. INCLUDING the band members of Great Southern. And if you love the band from this site like you say you do, I don't understand why you would refer to them by an incorrect name unless your only reason for doing so is to pi$$ people off. Not too cool in my book. 🙁

Brofan,I'm not about to venture into the shark infested waters surrounding discussions of DB & ABB- I thought we were over that. However I will take you task on the greatest hockey announcer ever. I think you will find the man who holds that distinction to be Foster Hewitt, a Canadian broadcaster who coined the phrase " He shoots,he scores". I believe he started in the 30's and was the voice of hockey for decades.

To quote the late, great Lloyd Pettit (the greatest hockey announcer of all time-just ask any Chicago Blackhawk fan. That is, if you can find one anymore) "A shot and a goal!!!!!" Good call, Johnny. Way to call out hypocrisy when you see it.

Golly Hem, great reasoning. You Dickey Fans is an insult but calling the ABB the Warren Brothers is cool to you. Glad you got Dickey's back. Nobody's dissing him or his playing on this site, just questioning some really crappy business decisions. Too bad nobody had Matt's, Mark's, KJ's or Dave's (twice) backs.
