Happy Anniversary to Smiling Jack and Phyllis! Happy Birthday tattoneil, hope you had a great day! What a great time last night at the Mule! Loved hearing the new album in full. Slackjaw Jezebel and Silent Scream were standouts for me. The second set was great but too short. Warren looked like he was having great fun, smiling all night. Come to think of it, they all looked they were having a blast. And they sounded amazing! I never get tired of Thorazine Shuffle or Blind Man In The Dark. I loved Ballerina, it's a keeper, but it sounds like a better fit for Warren's solo shows. Hanging out before the show was half the fun. Bob and I walked into McGee's and there was Edge with his 2 sons. We had a nice talk about Mr. Betts. Rich (nalpak) and Ron were waiting at the bar. Looks like we're making a habit of drinking with you guys before and during shows (Sorry I couldn't fit the shrimp ring in my bag! ) It was great hanging out with you again! Also met jim and tommars, what nice guys! Felt right at home there, in a sea of Warren and Mule shirts! Ran into dmiller at the show and we got to have a short, but nice talk. Also met Ron's girlfriend, there for her first Mule show. My sisters! 🙂 Jacquie, Leah (BadLittleDoggie) and Sherry! Next time get there earlier so we can tawk! Seems like our time together is so short. Always makes me smile when I see you! P.S. Jacquie! I see that John Corbett thing you're talking about! 😀 😉

I would assume that Warren would sing "Blue Sky" since he did in Phil Lesh & Friends.

Well Ive never been to Athens, but I really like the music, they say the co-eds are insane there, and they know just how to use it. Sorry....that was sooooo wrong. Now you tell me RyanBelair!!!! If that is your real name!!! After I quit drinking. And to think of all those years I wasted on River Street. I don't doubt you but you did say per-capita. So could there actually be more on Bourbon Street???

I always liked "Time to un-A** this A.O." AO meaning of course: Area of Operations. Been there many times! Been in a basement all tangled up in ductwork fighting a raging fire when the floor above me decides to drop in on me. Couch...chair...living room table. All coming down to say hello and I am still tangled up in this @#$%% ductwork. 'Tied to the Whippin post' I am! Best to all in the path of Ivan. Get out. Strange isn't it...been there; done that;where the heck is my T-shirt? Oh yeah....The one with the Firetruck in front of The Fox! Maybe I'll wear it to The Fox shows. Great ABB shirt from '98. Still....Tony's pix of the NYFD firetruck in front of the Beacon is the best. Number on the side of the truck.....35! As in ABB years. Bird72, you captured history and didn't even realize it Bro!

"Most bars on one street that I've ever seen.Except for Bourbon Street." Eddie that is a bold statement. ;)Surely you must have spent some time in Athens, GA. As of a few years back "the Classic City" was know for having the most bars per capita of any city in the US. Most of which are located on 2 to 3 streets. Plus as a bonus the Dawgs are playing in town on Saturday against Marshall. Of course I have never had a hard time finding a drink in Savannah either! I fear this is bad news for New Orleans if it gets hit directly, they just can handle all the water. From what I understand most of the city is actually below sea level. So the effect of that much rain is like pouring water in a bowl, New Orleans is the bowl. Hope for the best for those in harms way. Take care, Ryan

Good idea SAVANNAH. If you're in Ivan's way come on over to Savannah. River Street is great. Most bars on one street that I've ever seen.Except for Bourbon Street. We're safe for the time being but Jeanne lurks......

I got wind of the XM thing a number of months back, heard the band was asking for ideas on dealing with the obvious problem. This is going to cause another round of hard words, hard feelings, I fear.

I'm with Woodyca. "Get the Hell out of Dodge". I lived in New Orleans in 1965 when Hurricane Betsy hit and those storms terrorify me to this day. You can always buy new "stuff". Be safe and take your pets too.

For those in the deep south the appropriate phrase might be "hunker down" or "get the hell out of Dodge" Ivan the terrible has the potential to kick some serious a$$. Hopefully he eases up be4 landfall.
