"Why did Jack Pearson originally leave the ABB?" He was suffering from hearing loss because the band at the time was playing to loud. Story told to me was a certain member of the band refused to turn down as he had been playing that way for the last 30 some years and was pretty blunt about it. Guess Jack didn't want to lose his hearing, so he left the band.

Jimmy, there were definitely Instant Lives. Plenty of people in the green t-shirts wandering around, and some of us got our CDs already. 😎

What a night in Hot'Lanta! Friday afternoon rush hour traffic kept HTN from getting to the Georgian Terrace (GT) in time to set up a hopitality room...but GABBA had a great one and it was so good to see so many guestbookers there! I had to leave the party early at the GT to go set up the HTN table in the Fox and really hated to go - so many good people to talk with that shared our passion for this band! Walking into the Fox in the quiet before the doors open is a majestic experience - especially when you know that magic is about to be performed in a few hours! And that's exactly what happend for the duration of the evening. Gregg was in a great mood and very complimentary of the crowd and venue - sang and played his a** off! Everyone was on fire - everyone. At the end of the drum solos - Butch and Jaimoe and Mark all raised their drum sticks in salute and congratulations to each other! When they are proud of their artistry and know thay hit a home run - it just feels great, to me, to see those smiles! At the Fox, at the Cotton Club and at all the after hour gatherings of good friends - magic happened again and again last night... I'm so thankful! JNB

Great comments about the last show. Looking forward to Charlotte. Hope Jack comes along. My heart stopped when I read Jack was in for Derek. All three must have been great. Can't wait !! Good Job South Jersey...

You guys are killing me! Still, it's great to hear about the shows that we are missing. We're sitting here in hurricane heaven just waiting for Jeanne to knock on the door. If you listen closely you can hear the faint hum of generators starting-up all over central Florida.

I looked all over for GB'ers but didn't find many. Met Leftyblues and Pam...they were right in front of me. Saw Paul and Heidi after the show in the Lobby and then I was introduced to Lee.....It was a pleasure meeting all new faces. Also ran into Bigsixpeachhead's hubby Lynn on the way out as well as a ton of Phishhookers. everyone was diggin my Jam For Duane t-shirt ;)...year one Highlight for me was my first live Wasted Words, another scorching Come and Go Blues, Rockin Horse and Dreams with Jack blowing the roof off the place 🙂 Why does love got to be so sad was also a highlight.....just a great show....so glad I got to see them in the FOX...the Best Venue ever.... it was 98% packed and rocking all night....energy was everywhere!!!. I counted about 12 stands on the floor excluding mine. back tonight for one more hope to meet some of you folks Skydogj

Here I sit on the west coast, broken hearted. Sounds just awesome. What a set list. JP sitting in. Damn I'm jealous. Have a great high holy day to all those celebrating Yom Kippur today. Although if you are orthadox you would be reading this until tomorrow. Prayers to those in Jeanne's way, hopefully she will make a hard right.

Just heard from one of the Atlanta "crews." Nice chat with Origapch, Sari, Terri, Lefty and Karen Bomberry. They were somewhere that I'm sworn to secrecy from revealing. It did have something to do with DISCO :freaked: is all I'll say. In my "honor" they'd ordered a round of prune juice. Everyone mentioned how great last night's show was and Origapch was in awe about Jack's playing on Dreams. :guitarist: Nice to hear from them. (note to self, look into an unlisted number on Monday :D)
