Just got back from seeing Jimmy Hall & the Prisoners of Love. Great show, no Jack Pearson but Greg Martin from the Kentucky Headhunters played with them. Another Louisville picker Tony Bolls was the other guitarist. Hoosier came down for the show and I met SistaBluz tonight. Jimmy played 2 sets Ryan wrote down the setlist but I can't remember everything that was played. But I'll try to remember some of them. From Rendezvous With the Blues he played 29 Ways Rendezvous With The Blues Too Tall to Mambo A Change is Gonna Come The Hunter The Money Doesn't Matter Played some Wet Willie songs Leona Grits aint Groceries Keep on Smilin also played Got My Mojo Workin Silent Night, That was like goin to church. If you didn't have the spirit after that one you're scrooge. Hope to have some pictures to put up. I asked Jimmy if I could take pictures and he said " I don't know why you want pictures of my ol ugly ass" And he signed my Rendezvous With the Blues CD.

Hey now! On the great harmonica players thread, I highly recommend the album "Harp Attack," featuring Carey Bell, Billy Branch, James Cotton and Junior Wells. It is, of course, pretty harmonica heavy, but it never quite gets to the overload stage. Some serious chops between those four guys! A great cover of "Down Home Blues," which I've always thought was a tailor-made groove for the Allman Brothers. Buppalo, nice to see that you'll be in Atlanta, my brother. Keep your eyes open for me. 🙂

:clapping::clapping::clapping: Thanks again Warren for puttin' on the X-mas Jam :clapping::clapping::clapping::haveabeer: It has been a highly successful charity event for Habitat for Humanity ... the article that Marley posted earlier http://mountainx.com/ae/2004/1215christmasjam.php describes it as being straight-up and gets needy people in new homes. Way to go, Warren, and everyone else! 🙂 :rainbow::eatpopcorn: :flower2:

There was a blurb in a a column in a Denver paper saying Government Mule is coming to the Fillmore. Does anybody have Mule dates from after the first of the year? DTB here 3/5 and Boulder around then. No sign yet of Oteil or the rumoured ARU reunion show yet. I need a live show fix!!!
